The horn-shaped sapphire formed a chrysalis no larger than the simian's fist. It'd once been an alien creature:

Its shape was similar to a feline's, but with a chinchilla-like head boasting three pairs of large eyes that bulged out the sides. Satellite dish ears sat on either side. Its front legs were slender and hooved, well-suited to rocky terrain; the hind legs were thick and stocky, with webbed paws like a bear's. Barely scraping four feet long from its small nose to the base of its long, spotted tail, the alien relied on speed to survive. A pair of ribbed black horns a foot and a half long jutted from the back of its head. It had patterns resembling a thorny devil's on its short-furred hide.

This conception was Successful! The litter will emerge October 3rd.

Teyouma II will not be able to conceive again until January 3rd.




This child is a strange creature topping out at the size of its alien-like parent, some four feet long from nose to tail base, with additional length in the long, simian-esque, prehensile tail. In overall color, it is shades of dark: charcoal to jet black, arranged in patterns not unlike a thorny devil lizard's, all in a short, flat, monkey-like fur coat.

Its skull shape is more similar to its alien parent, with the large, satellite ears; its horns are as miniature versions of its alien parent's, black, twisted, but not very long. Its eyes are a deep, rich red, like its simian-hybrid parent's.

The forelimbs are slender, and a strange mix of the pair: the elbows are where one might expect but the wrists are quite high up on the leg, halfway or so. The leg below the wrist is not particularly flexible, instead ending in two cloven horn-like structures resembling fingers, a lighter grey: these are tipped with small, bird-like black claws.

The hind legs are very thick, with bearlike paws ending in the same talons; a large, jagged chunk of sapphire sticks out of the left hind calf.

Note: I probably drew the back paws a little too fat... feel free to slim down... <.<
