Himmel
It wasn't like he'd intended to
kidnap @Tukluk from the mirror room, but that's sort-of what happened. Whether or not they'd agreed to do a roundabout trip through Polaris or to Eridanus to see if the marmoset's home still existed, Himmel wasn't ready to turn around just yet. He was intrigued by the warmth of this enormous cave; the beach was a strange place to start with and he'd figured out rapidly enough that sand was not his friend, but the rest of this place would need a thorough examination - and he was drawn immediately to the volcano.
It was a massive construct that impressed him more than the spire he'd seen in Polaris, frightened him a little bit too, but he wasn't going to let that stop him. It would have taken hours to climb the mountainous terrain and as he approached one low ridge that might carry him a decent way up, he paused. There was something warm emanating from a crevasse in the rock. It looked like a doorway - perhaps another tunnel?
Himmel moseyed towards it. The heat was stronger here but he wasn't phased by it, feeling confident in his ability to manipulate the element. He felt more at-home here than he expected. As he neared the doorway he ducked his head slightly, stooping so his head and shoulders were level, and cautiously sniffed the air as he entered. He did not get far - the smell of burning substances and a musky odour hit him like a wall.
"Hello...?" The boy called out. He looked around shyly at the immediate interior of the workshop, curious enough to linger but ready to bolt if anything untoward were to transpire.
