The feeling of loneliness sank just a little deeper with Haven's words. Not knowing why you were made was an unsettling realisation, but knowing that she hadn't seen anyone else in the tunnels made her worry.

Some might have called themselves special. Indigo Eyes was fully prepared to call herself a mistake, accidentally made for water instead of land like everyone else, to be eaten in the water like fish. Nameless. Faceless. Dumb.

An emotion finally began to shine through: anxiety. Her fingers clawed into the wet sand below and her head dipped a few inches. The more she tried not to think about it, the more she did think about it. Even when she focused on listening to what else Haven had to say it nipped at the back of her mind like a fat tick.

She knew the word master. Instinctually the definition rolled over in her mind, but it did very little to ease the tension building in her shoulders. "Where are they?" She asked, and then added, with some edge of hopefulness, "are any in the water?"

She looked off out of the bay, into the water. "There's tunnels that go everywhere, I think," she said. "I'd just have to-- find it. Cepheus?"

The name didn't ring any bells. The idea that the rooms had names certainly didn't occur to her, either. "I might dry out if you carry me. If it's far," her tone was returning to bland again, monotone, listing off facts as she knew them. She might have been fine, realistically, but the ever-present fear of drying out kept her from straying too far from bodies of water.

Indigo's mouth twisted briefly, slowly lowering herself down, too. Her chin rested on one of her finned forearms and her dewclaws began twitching into the sand, too. "What's the entity like?" She asked rather mildly, half-mumbling distantly.

Wisdom sounded nice, at least.

Haven cocked her head and wondered, "Most likely. I'm not sure where they are or what their name is, but the Masters are as different as we are, meant for different purposes. If one master shared one purpose, I think it'd be very overwhelming."

She glanced at Indigo, a bit worried. With a spell she knew a little bit of what was wrong.

Loneliness. Anxiety. A sense of not belonging.
Haven scooched a bit closer and tugged her claws in, reaching out and offering a hand to Indigo, "We could go. Together."

She lay her head down nearby, brows furrowed in sadness. She didn't offer a head bump like she wanted to, but she kept the offer of touch open.

"You aren't alone," she said, "I can be your friend. We may not be of the same worlds. I'm of the sky, you're of the water, but it doesn't mean we can't find ways to fix that. And being different isn't bad. It doesn't make you... wrong. How would you tell your friends apart if you were all the same? You couldn't have a talent or something that makes you you if you were the same as everyone else."

Haven looked down and sighed, "... But his name's Eggbert, I think. He's very kind, I think you'd like him. He sort of looks like a duck."
