Thankfully, the injured head stayed still enough for her to lick at his wounds. The tawny girl continued to rest her tufted paws, one along his muzzle and the other along his upper cheek. Meanwhile, her tongue cleaned his wound expertly. It was a sharp graze – being very thin and of decent depth, it was hard to stop the blood from flowing. She attempted to use her magic again but it failed. Quix’s brows furrowed with worry for a moment. Then, she recalled her time with Bevy. She needed spiderwebs!

Kerberos suddenly grunted and asked her about his condition. He sounded somewhat worried and confused. She smiled and patted his cheek with her little paw and replied him in a reassuring, gentle voice. "Don’t worry, Kerberos. It’s a thin cut, and it is still bleeding but spiderwebs can stop it!” She looked into the floppy-eared-head’s eyes and scrunched her nose at it in a grin, then instructed him firmly, "Wait here” before springing away to hunt for some spiderwebs. Many ancient buildings lay scattered in Orion, making her task extremely easy. Before she entered one of the houses though, the fox looked over her shoulder and at Kerberos with a firm look that said Don’t go anywhere. She knew how hyperactive the large furry carpet was. She couldn’t afford him scrambling after another prey with that gnash. Deer carried some bacteria in their hooves and…oh, she shuddered, not wanting to think more.

When she entered the room, the four walls loomed around her. She cast her gaze up and saw a couple of spider webs. The dusty ones wouldn’t do though. She continued to look across the ceilings and there! There was one relatively new, silky one. Although dust had inevitably gotten onto it, there weren’t any bits of debris clinging to the silk. "Perfect!” she exclaimed, and then pondered hard about how she was going to retrieve it. Quix gazed around the room and saw that this two-story building had a winding staircase. If she just climbed it and launched herself onto the other end of the room with one outstretched paw, she would be able to get the spiderweb down. The image of the albino, three-headed friend of hers flickered in her mind and she felt her heart thump. Petite face creased up in determination. She felt like she’d do anything for him in that moment.

The fennec fox scampered up the stairs easily and stood at the edge of one of the top steps. The glistening spiderweb was just about within reach if she launched herself far enough. "One, two,” she counted and crouched low to the ground, "THREE!” she yelled as she launched herself forward full-force with outstretched right paw, succeeding in swiping at the spiderweb which now curled around her furry paws. "Oof!” she yelped as she landed awkwardly on three feet, sustaining some damage to them from the impact. Wincing, she limped back on all three paws to Kerberos’ side where she would show him the spiderweb and grin at him. "Spiderweb, to put on cuts and wounds! Put on bleeding body.” She nodded, and held it out for him to sniff at.
