"All right! We can take all the breaks you want," Scorch promised. "I will be flying, so just holler whenever you want to rest for a while!" He pushed off the ground and opened his wings, landing on a thick branch of the tree nearest to the Eyes. From this point, he could sail shorter distances from tree to tree without having to land on the ground - and he could pause shorter or longer on each tree to match Sprig's speed.

In this manner, Scorch led Sprig out of Eridanus and into Orion, making sure to stop and rest as many times as Sprig needed. The stone buildings there, too, worked well with this method of travel, and he continued in this way until they reached Canis - always listening closely for any request to take a break.

Sprig followed Scorch, trying to go at as fast a pace as he could, but breaks along the way were still needed. He was very happy the owl was so accommodating of his needs as they went on their way to Canis, stopping when he needed to rest. He was no traveler like Adonia or Comet, so all this walking was rather tiring.
