Ring-a-ring o' roses, A pocket full of posies, A-tishoo! A-tishoo! We all fall down.

The peryton walked through Polaris gently. Dove grey eyes remained shut in contentment as he felt the gentle breeze whirl around his pelt. Black rimmed ears twitched as they tuned in to the hushed whisperings echoing down the cave. As he walked on, the glowing crystals and fungi glittered along the ceiling as though to blink in reverence and welcome. The air was sweet and he felt a tangible feeling of fulfilment coming soon to him. “Yess…” he whispered, husky baritones escaping from his ebony muzzle. He opened his eyes then, masked behind fluttery innocent lashes of a deer, and continued to stroll on, haunches rolling along with his smooth elk gait while talons gripped and clenched the grit of the earth from behind him. Soon he came to the main clearing – away from the river and spire, this circular ring seemed rather like an enclosure for gembounds to gambol around in. Perhaps…he’d be able to have his own fun too. Silently, he walked to the corner and lifted one dainty hoof, then sharpened it against the stones near a corner, producing a delightful shrieking sound which made his own fur stand on ends.
