The dog trotted, stiff-legged, towards the tunnel, feeling his eyes droop. Casting Magic always took a toll on him, and he was growing tired. Only a bit more, he reminded himself, and he could rest. Turn in these stones and nap until everyone else brought in theirs, as well.

Casting out his Magic without thinking, he was brought up short as he sensed Magic nearly directly under him. He stopped, and began to dig, finally unearthing a Gemstone. Dropping his head, he took it between his teeth with a huff--how many Gemstones were in Polaris, anyway?

The dog held the stones gingerly in his teeth, trotting towards the Tunnel. It wasn't much further, then, and he could rest. His paws ached from so much travel--he didn't usually move around so much, after all. But this was important, so he put up with it.

At the edge of Polaris, he took a moment to stretch, his muscles straining and his bones popping. Sighing, he planted his paws and shook himself, saying goodbye to his home before heading towards Canis for, what he hoped to be, the last time.

The next Fledgling (+1) level stone found by Yoosung is a shining, many-faceted Zircon once belonging to a very strange Gembound with a scaly, purplish-gray hide on a tiny, hamster-shaped body. Its face is broad and beaked, almost turtle-like; a loose flap of skin hangs entirely around the neck, and behind that lie a pair of feathered wings.

The first of the two Pupil (+2) level stones is a pale and glittering Chrysoberyl, pale green-yellow in color. Its last owner was a four-way hybrid between a Reindeer, a Dormouse, a Capybara and a Chimpanzee.

The second Pupil (+2) level stone is a bright, deep green, closer to yellow than blue, polished Peridot once belonging to another four-way hybrid, this one a mixture of domestic Llama, feral Dingo, common Shrew and Mountain Goat.

The Master (+3) level gemstone is a shining, almost metallic-looking black Hematite that almost glimmers silver in bright light. It once belonged to a domestic donkey.
