So, I'm brand-new to the site and I have no idea how anything here works- I mean, I've read the guidebook, but It's hard to understand. ;-;

Any tips on how to get started/ find my way around here?

@Heartstruck Hello welcome to Origin! Is there anything in particular you need help with? We also have a discord you can join up up top in the chat box. We're more frequent there.

Your profile looks good! The only change you'll need to make is the location you have set to Fornax is the location for Heartstruck's stone instead, so 'chest' works fine!

When you're ready, check out the application forum and fill out the form in this thread as a new thread with Heartstruck's name as the title. You'll get to pick a starting spell which can be any of the low intensity spells in your element. For Animal they are Red Sense, Chromatophore, and Night Vision -- these are visible in the Magicka shop on the navigation bar in the header.

Once you get that up, we'll set your character up and you can start playing!

The magic and rolls might feel like a lot to get used to, but once you start playing with it you'll get the hang of it 8) it's totally fine to learn so don't worry about potentially doing anything wrong, we'll help you out wherever you need it so feel free to fire questions at us x)
