Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

Yes... one day, I'll be the one in control. Adeyemi clicked his beak, straightening, foot falling back to the floor with a soft snick. The turaco's eyes were bright with confidence and, per usual, arrogance and pride, as he gazed up at the hyena. "Hm. I do not doubt it. Perhaps we will be the first to truly conquer it, yes?, After all, we both wear the marks of our efforts," he cooed, gesturing again to the scars that dotted the both of them - to some, marks of error, to him, badges of success, of strength.
He saw in her eyes, reflected, the same lust for power, for control over all, and was reminded of the loquacious cub he'd found in Cetus. "You are... quieter than others I have met. It is a pleasant change," Adeyemi clucked, honesty the backbone of the words. After all, the only other that came close to Svenna's level of conversation was Willow, and anyone that resembled the owlet, the Princess to his Prince - in his own mind - had a direct pathway to his weaker, more emotional side.
"I have met another, powerful like ourselves. I have allied myself with her. It would do us both good, to ally as such... to have, oh, what do they call it? Ah, back-up. In case of emergencies," the chick added, thinking of the burning entrances to Polaris.
Did she wear the marks of fire? Hell yes, Svenna wore those marks. Her legs were riddled with burns and sometimes deeper scars that fur wouldn't fully grow to cover. Curled tufts of her corse fur would slightly grow to cover the old wounds but they would almost always be visible to the stranger's eye. If Svenna was a vein girl, it would be a problem. An ugly sight to anyone wanting to be in pristine condition for a partner... She couldn't care less.
"I haven't much need for words," she replied, flatly. It was in agreement but seemed a little off. She knew what he meant, other's could blab on for days about their life's conquests. And she indeed felt more inclined to keep those things to herself.
"Another fire conjurer?" Svenna's eyes lit up in obvious interest. She wanted to hear more of this. Maybe one day she'd meet them and gain some insight on better control. Adeyemi talked of allies, the hyena girl wasn't too sure on that... To trust in another beings for guidance and help? It seemed... Ludicrous.

Prince Adeyemi
AND THEN THE EARTH AND THE SKY, THEY ALL FIT TOGETHER
AND CARRY ME AWAY AS LIGHT AS A FEATHER
Adeyemi huffed, tapping his foot with a shake of his head. "No, I do not think so. She did not bear the marks of the flame... perhaps something else. But she was powerful. Fearless. Hungry for control, as those destined for greatness are," the chick drawled, voice honey-thick and oozing confidence, despite his scrawny and strange appearance.
"The flame is... special. A privilege, one as powerful as it is dangerous. I imagine it out of control, and wish I hadn't. If small bursts can leave wounds such as these," he mumbled, gesturing to both his own burns and the hyena's, "I flinch to imagine just what a true blaze could wreak, not only on the foe but on the caster."
Still, his demeanor didn't display fright - more fervent curiosity and a lust for the knowledge to answer his own questions. The turaco's tiny, underdeveloped wings rustled once, settling back into place as he hummed, eyeing his newfound companion with bright red-brown eyes. "Perhaps we could... learn from each other, in the ways of controlling the flame. Or in releasing it, to its full potential."
