Cel giggled happily as she hugged mimosa, smiling brightly. the palace has been so lovely, the people so nice, and the gardens and library were incredibly delightful, even if the latter of those she didn't understand much of.
however she was most excited for today, having ran back to mimosa's tailoring room, almost tripping over a cleaner in her hurry.
a small gasp of awe at the rack, incredibly beautifully and flowy pieces designed especially for her, it was almost too much!!
she nodded excitedly, and waited for mimosa to leave to start trying things on.
it took a while, and she giggled with delight at the birds who helped her out, whistling thank yous than in all honesty might be easier for the birds to understand anyway. she loved trying everything on, it was all so soft and comfy, and something about the smell of fabric was just wonderful.
after maybe 30-40 minutes of trying stuff out, she had a pile of stuff she wanted hung in a separate part of the rack, the rest shoved to the side so she knew what was what.
3 pairs of trousers, one long-legged and brown, the second a pair of shorts colored white, the last a short and frilly pair of white bloomers.
she found 3 shirts she enjoyed, 2 of them white with frills at the neck, though one was more tight and complex, the other much looser fitting and a darker, old paper kind of color, and the third a plain white dress-shirt, a high, laced up neckline and long sleeves.
as for the dresses, she chose a good handful.
one was long and silky, a beautiful light, almost white-ish blue dress, with a laced up front and long sleeves. she felt like she wanted to fall asleep with it on, the fabric cool and loose.
the next 3 were pure white, save for some front-laces on the third.
one was long and incredibly frilly, with wide sleeve-cuffs and a high neck. somehow, the lace was still comfortable around her neck, and the inside of the dress didn't itch. none of them did, infact. it looked formal, almost shy. the skirt was round and twirled wonderfully, reaching just below her ankles
The second was simpler, the neckline that of a sleeveless dress, though it did have sleeves, meeting at the shoulders and snug around the wrists. the skirt wasn't particularly poofy, but it was long and layered, reaching above her ankles, and incredibly beautiful. it had floral-like patterns in the lace sleeves, and some lacey ruffles in the front leading down her stomach
the third one was simpler, with longer sleeves although just as wide, if not wider, and MUCH longer. the torso a corset of some kind with pink front lacing, the attached skirt loose and flowy with intricate lace patterns, reaching also just above her ankles.
much of the fabric not on the torso was see-through, the layering stopping anything from showing, but allowing light to shine through it beautifully. it looked almost casual.
the third was definitely casual, a brown leather corset with back-strings around a peanut colored dress top, sleeves that stopped above the wrists and a skirt that barely went to her knees.
the second was almost like a dress for a young princess. it was a beautiful rose-like light pink, slim and with short , ruffled shoulder sleeves, meeting a neckline once more almost like a strapless gown. the skirt reached above her ankles once more, and wasn't poofy or with any particular shape, simply hung around her legs, loose and layered and fun. it allowed great movement, as did the others to some extent, but it felt playful. the front corset wasn't tight fitting at all, and was a similar rosey pink. while the lace itself seemed patterned around her torso and the very ends of her skirt, the rest of it was smooth and unpatterned.
and finally, the very last, was simple. it was a silky lavender blue, almost like a hybrid between the color of the first robe-like dress, and the form of the previous one, with sleeves a tad longer but no less ruffled, and with loose and flowy fabric. around the torso, a bit tighter fitting, was gold filigree, some of it even looking like sparkling stars.
satisfied with her clothing choice, she ALMOST called for mimosa, before eyeing the beautiful white cloak she had been wrapped in when she first apprived, the hood and fur perfect for the trek back through ursa. it was comfortable, mainly, but it also had a bit of sentimental value, the way a shortly-borrowed cloak does to a child.
she added that to the list, making her final count 14, and called out with a whistle, the one she had assigned to mimosa's name, although a bit brighter and more melodic. she WAS wearing something though, of course, her peanut-brown dresstop and the long pants. it seemed a tad big on her, but wasn't falling off.
