A distraction is very welcome, and Siren sends an appreciative signal through the link. At least she has her family here to help. It's really all Siren could ever need. Despite Ace's lack of a filter Siren knows he's right. It's best to just cut it off and not linger with the pain. It will bring a large relief to their family, too.

Siren is held down by Ace, a surprise but Siren does not try to push him away. This is fine. Everything will be fine-

Despite being a creature held together mostly by instinct, Siren does worry. Especially about how their problem is effecting their family. Time to get this over with.

Only, when Juggernaut quickly slashes to get rid of the bad bits... A few more things are removed. Now Siren is thrashing. Held down by Ace's form, Siren doesn't get very far at all. Still stuck beneath, but shouting and snarling the sounds she can make.

All of it is overwhelming, the area around it, due to the sound, and the pain. But somehow Siren focuses just enough to know what to do.

A flare of their magic runs though, quickly patching up and rebuilding flesh. From bone to rubbery tentacles, all regrowing to brand new. Siren feels immediate relief from the pain, but also a concerning amount of exhaustion. It slumps over. Ignoring the fallen tentacles still lingering on the ground below. Especially since the ones there are still wiggling. And will for about an hour.

"It is done." It huffs.

Thank Mother.

Certain benefits came from being born as a mind connected to a vastly spanning web of others: lack of companionship was nonexistent, advice could be obtained by the mere prod of a thought, and never could any befall harm without the whole Hive's protective tendencies being alerted to the injury. Of course, the last had proven once and again to possess another edge, malicious and far from welcome under the current circumstances. Just as in battle, where the great strength of the network had allowed them to coordinate and pinpoint those in most need of defense, so too did it inflict all with the suffering comrades received. The siblings had been aware of this fact, had proceeded onward anyway with their surgery attempt. Now the consequences were reaped in their full horrifying effect.

For Ace, steeped in fluids whose purpose was to wreak absolute havoc upon enemies that dared touch his glorious Mother-crafted form, the experience turned out to be quite unlike any other he'd thus far gone through. At first, he'd been merely pressing down on Siren, a mixture of apprehension and impatience bubbling within his slim frame. Though aware of what would happen, immunity to his personal concoction of horrible sensations had not prepared him for the immediate nausea building on two fronts. It began as a faint ripple from both his fellow soldiers, then grew into a gargantuan wave that towered overhead. Before he could completely process the extent of what he'd wrought, it all came crashing down. The overwhelming power swept him away.

Tossed about on a tempestuous sea, wings weak and unwilling to respond to the internal loss of balance, the Drone's knees buckled. A groan left his maw, and hooked limbs clung to Siren for dear life; her solid presence provided the only anchor for a brain totally adrift. Perception of his surroundings already dim, the lancing pain that followed wasn't even acknowledged as a result of Juggernaut cleaving through tentacles. It was just another layer of turbulence added to the rocky ride he struggled to survive.

He weathered this for a time unable to be calculated through the fog of agony. Once the calming influence of healing cleared everything away, the return of control to Ace allowed him to pry away his desperate hold on his sibling. Stiff-jointed, he fell backward, panting away ghosts of the others' poor reactions to venom and amputation. Mouth agape and head cast ceilingward, no bellows erupted forth from jaws for quite some time. Apparently he needed to pull himself together before finding the right words to express his side of what they'd been subjected to. Not often one received a secondhand dose of their own built-in weapons.

"Wha... whoa," came his breathy evaluation at last. An appreciative noise gusted through fangs. "That. Was a trip."

Joints popped as the tension was worked out of them and a more normal standing position regained. While the severed tentacles continued to writhe in the snow, powered by leftover energy, Ace bent his snout close, fascination burning in red eyes. He slowly raised a forelimb above them and brought its point down on one. When no change occurred in the appendage's activity, disbelieving laughter couldn't be helped.

"Oh, this is wild. Can you feel that? Is that still you?" Discovering unusual, new capabilities of his sibling banished away earlier astonishment. Designed for wartime instead of peace, plans of attack were writing themselves up in feverish detail. "Would be killer if you could strangle Chaos clowns with these. Oily morons wouldn't know what hit them! Perfect payback for what they did."

The horrid, shrieking pain carved its way through both as the blow settled into pale flesh - Juggernaut's mind was left unanchored, unthinking, as the nervous system pushed all function from his brain. He could do nothing but stare as Siren writhed in agony. Perhaps he would be writhing too, if his anatomy had allowed.

A sudden flush of powerful magick snapped him back to reality, as its sibling conjured a miracle before their eyes. The damaged tissue began to weave together, reforming and regrowing back to its original shape. He knew of the spell, a wondrous tale the network echoed to entertain itself; But he had never seen it with his own eyes. It was incredible.

The nausea was there to flood his senses, after the marvel swiftly left. He stared grimly at the wiggling tendrils, unsure whether the sickness was stirred by the poison alone. It'd gone badly, but it could have absolutely been worse. Had his tentacle moved like that after it was ripped from its host?

Ace came to, receiving an investigative squint from a couple of his eyes. They had all received a taste of their own medicine, but at least Juggernaut had remained standing. [Maybe an unfair assessment, it wasn't in its design to do much else.]

Eager to shift their collective attention, Juggernaut purred with a humorous bemusement, attempting to ignore the discomfort the premise stirred. "Severed from the host, their physical capacity will be... limited." He sent a querying probe towards Mother - how would one attempt to cleanse when limited to these materials? - and she humoured the question, sending back a morbid image of a biped pulling the tentacle back, strangling the neck of some putrid oil-beast. "It may require some manual input." His laugh was a quiet rumble as he echoed the vision back to his siblings.

Maybe he could begin entertaining a new fantasy, in which his severed limb wriggled to life to take vengeance on the Gembound who severed it, stabbing its way through the Chaos Forge ranks.
