He felt a surge of ambivalence as the tasmanian devil rolled over to look at the shattered rock, hoping she hadn't any plans to do anything nefarious with it. The cat lowered his chin to his paws, nervously staring down at her before she ultimately called back up to him, describing the rock for him. According to her there was nothing fancy inside - just more rock and little sparkly bits! "Brilliant! Of course!" The cat explained, bouncing to his paws. "Of course there wasn't anything inside, it's a... A clay compound, made up of other rocks!" Sure, he had a sneaking feeling, but he just had to make sure. "I mean, I figured as much." The cat added nonchalantly and lowered into a crouch again.

While his mind lingered on the shattered rock on the floor below, the devil moved on, asking about names and claiming that she didn't remember what his was even though he had told her. He was desperate to continue his work on the rock, but she seemed to have moved on, and there wasn't much else he could do. Sure, he could just get up and leave, but was he willing to incite her wrath again? At this point, no. "Rock Guy! That's not my name!" He exclaimed, lashing his tail. "It's Bartos! And don't forget this time!" The cat puffed up, frowning down at her.

Aksha had absolutely no interest in science or rocks or whatever, but it seemed to make… Bartos happy, so she just sort of nodded and said, “Uh-huh,” at the right times. He certainly seemed to know his stuff. Even if rocks were boring to her, she could appreciate the fact that he was so knowledgeable about them. She didn’t really know yet that her Magical Element was Earth, but when she did finally figure that out, she would be sure to come running back to her new friend… Friend. Were they friends? She supposed so. He certainly seemed able to put up with her for a length of time, and in her books, that meant they were friends. Because her brain was weird like that.

She gave a sigh of contentedness, rat-like paws still up in the air as she continued to lie on her back. It was an odd position for a Tasmanian Devil to be in, but no one had ever told her that. “Soooo… Bartos,” she began, wondering what to talk about now. He didn't seem the conversation-starter type. In fact, she got the sense he didn’t really want to talk to her. But if he was too chicken to tell her that himself, then he’d have to put up with her. She was honest to a fault. If others couldn’t be just as blatantly honest, that was on them. “How long ago did you wake up? You know, from your rock… gem… thing? You did wake up inside a rock, right? It’s just me that did that?”
This character is prone to violent swearing, whether provoked or not. Be warned.
Due to college, I will be scarce and may not post for weeks at a time, though I will TRY to post at least once a week. Feel free to skip me in any and all threads.

(Lets finish this soon? :D)

The tazmanian devil continued talking, though for a moment Bartos had stopped paying attention. Her voice ringing up from below caused him to glance down at her, twisting his body and thumping down onto his side while his hind legs stretched out. Wake up inside a rock... What was she talking about? The cat furrowed his brow. He couldn't remember waking up in a rock. Although... The first thing he did remember was falling. The shatter of rocks. Did he come from a rock? "I can't remember." He answered thoughtfully. "I think... I fell. I landed in the water and there were rocks all over the place, some blue ones, like the one on my chest." The cat blinked and gestured at his stone with his paw. "Hey! I have an idea! If you came from a rock, is it like the rock that you have? You should find it and bring it to me. So we can compare." He suggested, suddenly finding himself rather fond of this idea.
