QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

Bevy's eyes went wide when the newly hatched Gembound asked what bugs were. Bugs were only the most tasty thing in the entire universe, but she wasn't about to be rude about it-- well. Even if she was going to be rude about it, which she definitely wasn't, Krak interrupted. Bevy's feathers puffed out, the sort of crest rising up on the back of her neck. She did so know what was good and what wasn't!
.. She preened at her feathers which were now all out of place. How dare he, honestly! She wasn't a very prideful bird, but it wasn't her fault she didn't like bone marrow and honestly it hurt her feelings enough that she was different from these birds. When Krak commented that he also liked bugs, however, that seemed to shake her out of her moment of being flustered.
"Right, well, bugs... Bugs... Small, move around either fast or slow, all over. Can fly or crawl, lots of legs or only a few... They small and tasty and sometimes crunchy." The bird's wings ruffled as she spread them out. "Will find bugs for Aza!" She declared, taking up into the air and swooping over the lines of bones, looking for a bug hopefully among all of the white, discarded carcasses.

Sure enough, only a few feet away, her sharp eyes spotted a small centipede that had just started to wiggle under a femur. Diving down into the bones, Bevy's light body sent the bones scrambling among each other, a jingly rattle from the displacement echoing around her. She snatched up the centipede before it could scurry away and hopped her way back over to Aza. Her expression was filled with joy as she held up the bug, still squirming a little in her beak, to the larger bird.
Azazel was so confused. What were bugs? He knew things bugged him but what was just one bug? The bird ruffled her chest, indignant that Azazel didn't know what bugs were. How was one newly hatched ball of fluff supposed to know that? "What's all the buzz about?" He chirped, looking over at Krakarak, who was still yet hungrily and greedily eating the bone that The Bone Prince had offered. Unaware of his pun, the bird hopped over to Bevy, who had disappeared mysterious. "I'll bee right there" Yet another pun.
The pitohui returned, a iggly wriggly bug in her beak. Biting back a 'gross!', the bird eyed it cautiously. "Lookit all those legs!" He squeaked, reaching up and nipping off a little bit of the centipede in his mouth. To his chagrin, the legs felt odd and disgusting in Azazel's mouth. Swallowing it quickly, the bird shook his head. "You keep your bugs, I keep bones." That was fair enough. The bird nodded briefly, then looked off into the distance. Boy he was tired. Hopefully these friends wouldn't mind him going off to bed. Looking wistfully at his birdy friends, he peeped, "See you again?" Hobbling off, the hatchling managed to find a little crevice that he could comfortably fit into and snuggled into it, downy feathers pressed against the rock. Closing his little eyes, the tired Gembound hatchling fell fast asleep.

It seemed like Azazel was going to go find a place to sleep. He didn't seem fond of the bugs so much... But Krak said he had liked bugs so she hopped over to him and placed the bug down by his bones since it had stopped wriggling and gave a bashful smile (with her eyes at least) at the crow. "It was awesome to meet you. Have fun with your bones!" She hoped he would like the bug, and that it would be a good note for her to leave on.
To be fair, she didn't really like Krakarak a whole lot. With Aza gone, she sincerely just wanted to fly off and never come back. Something about the black bird's harsh, jeering words made her feel quite uncomfortable. That and she really did not like bones, especially not after having tried some. If he tried to make her eat more she didn't know what she would do...
"See you around!" She peeped quickly, and with that she took to the air and started to fly back to Tunnel K. It was a long, long way back home and she was going to be in a lot of trouble with Cancer if he realized she had gone off into the dangerous world all alone.

He knew the marrow wouldn't last forever but he was still annoyed when he'd eaten it all up. He was still hungry! It was then that he noticed the smaller bird come and drop the bug off in front of him. He wasted no time in gobbling it up. Did he offer a thank-you to the bird that caught him his meal? Of course, not. He expected such submissive behavior from a little small thing like her. He simply watched her leave with no words or even a wave of his talons to see her off. Simply silence.
He turned to Aza'zel and watched as the larger bird hopped into a crevice to sleep. Now his beak curved upwards to a small and he nodded his head. "Ya ya! See you again! Sleep well, Azza Azza!" Suck-up. Little did the big bird know, Krakarak planned to stick around for a bit. He would find his own little crevice to sleep in so that he could play with the bird again some other time... some time soon preferably.
Krakarak searched around and saw a little hole in the wall not too far away, this was where he chose to sleep. He perched there and tucked his beak into his feathers. When he was bigger the raven would fly up higher and get a new place to sleep but for now this would do.
