With one final whistle, the bird's lullaby ceased and he smiled softly at the cub for a moment. As he gazed at the child, he wondered what it would be like to have four legs and wings, to be blessed with an extra pair of talons. Shaking away the thoughts, aided by the now cheery voice of Remedy's. Looking away shyly, Azazel bluffed, "Well, I wouldn't say I'm as good as Pa." Turning back to the child he chuckled as she seemed to enjoy the song. "It's one of my favorites."

As she introduced herself formally as Remedy, he crooned, "That's a beautiful name for a beautiful little girl like you." Then came the long-awaited barrage of questions... even if it was really only about two questions. Leaning down, Azazel gently nuzzled the top of her crown. He had seen Carcino use the same method to show affection. "Your Pa and I have been friends since we were no bigger than you. That was a long time ago." Chuckling lightly, the vulture smiled, but then the emotion faded a little as she asked a question that she'd pretty much thought before. They were staying her indeed, but how could he reassure her that Canis was, in fact, alright?

Reaching for the top of the girls head, he nuzzled her once again and murmured, "Canis probably doesn't look like what you'd think of when one says home, but it's better than Orion, right now... There's a dangerous man lurking at your home, and he doesn't like Gembound like us."

How could he convince her? Breathing in for a moment and exhaling in a great sigh, he looked at the girl with a forced smile. "Canis isn't all that bad, Remedy. I've lived here and called this my home since I came out of my shell. The bones are fun to play in, and there's forts of bones. There's even a tower that... Mau made." Azazel stopped for a moment, reminiscing over the feline, when she still was alive. Well, she was certainly dead, right? Azazel hadn't seen hair or hide of the procelain princess.

"We, The Bonebound, protect all of the younger Gembound, and we protect the Lorekeeper. She's got many tales to tell if you can find her. You could play with Kerberos, the big three-headed dog at the gate... if you remember him. Once you get to know us... we aren't all that bad." Looking up, he smiled at the ceiling and then turned to the cub with a look of glee. "My name's Azazel, and I'm the Bone King..."

Wow, dramatic, Azazel.
