The dragon's eyes blinked over the gems unevenly for a moment. "I don't understand how I can find shiny things when I can't... see," she said quietly. "Creepy, yeah."

With her feathered crest flickering, Lichen carefully hobbled forwards. "Maybe you do," the dragon murmured, long feelers extending out to make sure she didn't bump into anything. "I guess we could ask somebody about it." She could hear the rapid beating of rat-hearts; though she didn't quite realise it yet, nor could she fully understand where they were coming from.

So instead, she turned and continued to wander around, gemstone eyes staring off blankly into the distance. She didn't know what Eko was on about on top of her head - she had no idea what a breakfast, lunch, dinner or even brunch was, but she followed with a soft "That sounds terrible,"

"I don't know what you mean by glowing," the dragon said. "But it might be a regular thingm whatever it is." She continued walking onwards until her feelers touched something new, cold and smooth.

Her snout angled upwards at the throne. She couldn't see it, of course, and it had no heartbeat to speak of, but a claw rested on the seat on it, glowing nails and stripes among her toes lighting up the rock. "What's this?" she asked.

"Ooh, yeah! We should find somebody and ask them about it. Or make them tell us. One of the two," Eko murmured, scratching at her chin in thought. "Eh, being eaten wouldn't be so bad, I don't think. I mean, not for me. I would be like, one bite, done. I don't even know if something could eat you," she assured, patting the dragon's forehead.

Lichen continued her wandering, face-noodles wiggling every which way, and the colugo watched them idly, slumping into a vaguely fluffy lump. "You're like. Okay. How do I explain this... so everything's dark for you, right? Well, you're like, giving off light, and making it not-dark, even if you can't see it. It's kinda neat," Eko added, tapping at one of the green markings with a strange, elongated paw pad. "Could be regular. Maybe everyone has 'em. Maybe I'll get 'em? That would be cool. But it would make sneaking up on people harder," she added, frowning.

And then her perch was moving, Lichen placing a paw on... well, Eko didn't really know what it was. "It's. Uh. Well, it's definitely made of stone," she offered, wiggling in place before racing forward and diving off of Lichen's snout - and letting out a surprised squeak when her limbs opened beneath her, catching air as she glided off of the dragon and onto the throne. "Woah!" She landed on one of the chair's stone arms, grinning, nose twitching in surprise. "That was so cool! I totally flew! Nice. Oh! The thing. It's. A chair, I guess. A big one, made of stone. Looks like the building we were in, Lich."

"How do we make them?" the dragon asked as she prepared to clamber up onto the throne, flinching as her sister dived off her nose. She lost track of Eko's heartbeat then and there, and in a fit of being unable to hear it again she moved her nose down towards the seat of the throne, whiskers shifting around almost frantically until one touched the colugo again. A shot of firey air left her nose in a soft snort. "I still don't quite understand. Why would you have to sneak up on people?"

Carefully, the dragon shifted to lift Eko up and onto her head again, stepping up onto the throne and slumping onto it. With her head angled blindly in front of them she rest her head on the armrest, her tail flopped over the parell armrest; flickering back and forth. Her glowing scales cast a soft light green light up onto the cold stone. "You flew?" her head tilted. "Can I fly too?"

Eko's fur puffed up under the feel of her sister's noodley whisker things patting at her, and she stifled a sneeze, patting one of them in an attempt at reassurance. "Well, we could... scare 'em! Yeah, see, we sneak up on 'em, and scare 'em, like how I was spooked when you first found me, see? Then we'll make 'em tell us, 'cause they'll be too freaked to say no," she concluded proudly, grinning and nodding to herself.

The colugo wobbled as she was lifted once again, put back on the dragon's snout, and she almost started to protest - but then, if Lichen couldn't see, maybe she needed Eko to help her? Or maybe she just... wanted Eko around? Either way, the little lemur relaxed, crouching into a tiny lump of spotted fluff. "Yeah, I totally flew, dude! It was pretty great." At the question, she hummed, turning to clamber up Lichen's snout to rest of her head, peering down at her tiny wings. "Totally! Well, maybe when we're a little older. Bet you could try now though," Eko offered, patting at black scales confidently.

She still couldn't hear Eko's heartbeat. Her heart sank down into her belly in slight fear, her whiskers still touching her back. "Oh," she said. "I can't hear anyone around anymore." She wasn't sure if this would make sense to Eko; but it certainly did make sense to her. Her head barely shifted on the stone armrest.

"I don't think that's a good idea," she said, thinking about flight. She could feel she had some sort of appendages on her back that would help her in flight - does that mean Eko does, too? She certainly couldn't tell. She couldn't see after all. "I might bump into stuff."

"Can't hear 'em?" Eko's brow furrowed, puzzled, tiny ears perking up and twitching this way and that, trying to catch any sound that filtered by. Nothing, nothing but the sound of her own breathing mixed with that of the dragon's. "Was there someone here before? I can only hear us," she murmured, a tiny bit of paranoia creeping into her tone. After all, she was the sneaker-upper, not other people.

"Well, yeah, I guess," Eko replied, latching onto the new topic like a leech to flesh, wiggling down to tap at Lichen's wings, moving a hand over the green webbing connected the bones with wide, fascinated eyes. "Maybe when we're big you can try? Go from one wall to the next, that kinda thing," the colugo added, lifting up one of her own arms to poke at the flap of skin there, that caught air like a parachute. "Ooh, we'll be able to fly together! That's gonna make sneakin' so much fun; we can totally just drop down onto people! Nice."
