Giga listened, head tilted at him with eyes expressing how uncertain she was of what he said. Nothing felt particularly right about what he said. Her feathers ruffled as he finished his speech about those who would want to kill her. She hadn't encountered any yet. Her heart felt a ping of hurt as he told her this. Something must of happened to make him think that everyone who wasn't like him - or her - was out to get him.

Yinehi's eyes softened into sadness as he spoke again, telling her that murder was always an answer. She shook her head at him, tears starting to fill her eyes. He was wrong and she knew he was. Every bone, muscle, and ounce of blood told her that he was terribly, horribly wrong.

As she spoke, liquid slipped from her blue eyes, slipping over feather and beak. "I am sorry you think that, but you are wrong," she hopped back off of her perch and looked up at the much larger beast. "Perhaps not all things can be cured, but that does not make murder right. That doesn't make you correct. I will never support this idea you have. If you ever need me, call for me; but know I will be healing your enemies as well."

With that, she began to walk away, tears still flowing from her eyes. They became bigger and more frequent the more she thought about it. The unsavory death of those who likely never committed a crime, murdered because they were carnivorous. It sent chills through her body as she considered the possibility of someone wanting to wipe our her kind, or all of herbivores, or anyone really. It made her sick. It made her stomach and mind churn like a sickness had taken over.

With some distance between them, she stopped and shook her body. A deep inhale and slow exhale to calm and relax herself. Tears slowed, but still blurred her vision. Her first monster was met. She looked upward, gazing to the cave's sky, and made a decision.

"Even monsters will need me."
