Todd didn't really know what to say at that. He wasn't sure what either was. "I'm uh, a fox?" He said, nodding difinitely. Though truthfully he wasn't all that certain on what a 'fox' was either, he'd heard people describe him
With it before.

Although he'd slumped, Todd was completely fine it seemed. He simply watched Lakshmi with wary eyes as she bounced around him. One moment she was right in front of his eyes, the next she was gone. One moment he felt her paws in his side, pushing. Todd swung his head around to keep an eye on her, ears swivelling.

"What're you doing?" He asked quizzically, tilting his head. He didn't realize that she was panicking. "It's comfy here..."

"Oh."

Cautious even then, she scurried over to the fox on her new legs, exploring what she could do. She was surprised to find that she could jump higher than her own body, and gleefully leaped over Todd's comfortably prone form.

With a soft purr, she curled up into his pelt. "Pretty, silv-a-a-awn..." she tailed of into a yawn and rested, curious yellow eyes open and looking lovingly up at Todd.

"Speech"

Like a breath of wind the little thing returned to the way it'd been before. The silver fox's ears twitched minutely and he gave a small, tentative smile in the direction of the lemur. His ears swiveled in an effort to keep it within reach of his senses before he turned his head once he knew where it was.

It was an odd, unfamiliar feeling. The little one behaved in a way Todd was unfamiliar with. he was... well, slightly scared in all honesty, but... it was a good kind of scared. it was a good feeling after so alone for so long. The little creature curled up against his belly, a little spot of warmth like a hot water bottle.

How strange.

They yawned, and the motion stirred a yawn in Todd's own throat, his maw stretching wide to reveal sharp teeth and a pink tongue. Then he licked his lips and looked around, finding Lakshmi with his soft brown gaze. And he just stayed there watching, his ears occasionally twitching. He tipped his head slightly as he pondered the look on her face, but was unable to resist a tiny smile creeping onto his cheeks.

With a smile, Lakshmi snuggled into the warm fox. All thoughts of danger and fatality were beyond her.

With a soft "snuff," she fell into sleep, comforted by a predator in a cave full of mud.

She was happy.

*exit because the sleepiness encompasses the forseeable future*

Curled in a ball with the little lemur clinging to his fur, Todd wasn't sure what else to do. He didn't want to move, and he hadn't felt this happy for a long time. Life wasn't as nice all on his own.

The little fox kept his gaze on the lemur, his breaths warm as he finally rested his head on the ground with last traces of wariness fading away. It'd veen a long time since he'd let that happen.

Finally, he let the exhaustion creep into his own limbs, and within minutes he'd fallen asleep as well, succumbing to undying innocence.
