Alaska managed to get to her feet and the momentum of her flailing, kicking, and bucking was difficult to counter. Teyouma did well to stay on for a bit - but that was only because of his extra limbs, which had hooked in to her skin or around the curve of her body. At the right angles he lost those grips, and as she pirouetted violently, he went sliding off of her and against a tree trunk. The creature was dazed for a few minutes after that; whether the injured doe escaped or lingered to get revenge, he wouldn't know until the world stopped spinning.

The wraith wasted no time in escaping, not even looking back to see if the Monster was following. She released another eerie scream that echoed in the fog of Cetus, and disappeared from the Monster’s view. She ran until her legs burned and her lungs burned and she felt she would die if she kept running. Then she collapsed in a heap on the ground, looking, for all the world to see, dead. In truth, she had passed out again, from a mix of exhaustion and shock from trauma. When she next awoke, she would be a different creature, one prone to panic attacks, and one who would become hostile towards anyone who came to close to her or tried to touch her. The wraith’s innocence had been torn to shreds because of this encounter.
