Kin-Kin smiled, although it was a hollow one that didn't spread to her eyes. "Well, you have it now. Does that help any?" she asked slowly, carefully. At their talk of killing, the smile faded again, her thoughts lingering back to the peacock, whose final moments she'd shared. Kin-Kin, for all she'd fought Imperia with the strength of a typhoon, had never killed.

"At times, that seems to be just the way of the caves," Kin-Kin said slowly. "If it makes you feel any better, it was the same for me. Many came, but nobody stayed. Not that that's any excuse." Kin-Kin watched the black wolf turn to leave, but she stayed where she was, tail whisking slowly beneath her cape. "Heh, don't worry about that one, kid. Believe me. If nothin' else, I learn from my mistakes. It's how I keep on top of my game, see?" Kin-Kin felt her pride protest, a bemused smile lingering on her face. Was she really gonna let a kid tell her what to do? She shook her head slowly. There was always time to regain her lost pride. She was, after all, Magickal Champion and Demigod of Light.

"Until next time, then, kid." her eyes twinkled, and she flashed her teeth in a wolfish grin. "And ya can bet your butt there'll be one this time."

When I speak.

When I think.

Astaroth refused to look back, the emotions swirling around inside of him fueling him forward. He was able to stop though for a second. "No. It does not help. It just reminds me of what I didn't have as a pup. I can tell you have grown also, but you seem to still be a pup trapped in the body of an adult." He summed up the will to look back at her then, looking her straight in the eyes, his cold and dark, full of malice and hatred and greed, his maw was pulled back into a slight snarl. But he turned back away then, hesitating for a moment before forcing himself to walk back home.
"Speaking."
Thoughts.
