Oh... what's this?

It's a break in time!
The latter part of this thread takes place in the Chambers closer to Aure being 2 cycles old!

Aure was getting a little big to carry in his beak anymore. He suspected the little wyvern was about halfway grown by now, approaching being about up to Eythan's own elbows. It was incredible the growth spurt the itty bitty baby had gone through the past few weeks alone, honestly. The dark juvenile plumage had begun to retreat, revealing pale, off-white feathers mottled with darker spots. It wasn't completely gone and seemed intent on staying around on the chest, legs, wings, and tail, but that was fine. Aure was still adorable as ever. He'd always be adorable, to be honest.

Eythan, instead, was forced to carry the wyvern in his talons. There was a strange wariness around the baby, now, and he honestly couldn't get a hold on why. Initially, when the gryphon had suggested that today be the day the little one took flight, Aure seemed nearly hesitant to say yes. But, the hybrid wouldn't let his dad's stone grow up to be a coward afraid of new things. After a few soft words of coaxing, he managed to get the little one to agree.

And, up into the Chambers they went.

Reaching a high cliff edge overlooking a long, sloping pathway, Eythan alighted. Gently depositing the Aure, the gryphon buried his talons into the edge of the cliff, hanging slightly. "Hey, kiddo. I'll teach you what I can't teach myself."
