Despite Huckleberry saying he was not a very good friend, she wanted to be friends with him anyway. He was very kind, and the little one had never seen a hybrid before. She perked up and gave a happy bark. "Great! It was nice to meet ya Huckleberry! I'm gonna go find some fruit to eat with my mouse, shouldn't be too far. I'll visit you soon, kay?" With that the pup scampered off to put her mouse inher nest in the home tree, before looking for fruits to eat her mouse with.

A little confused, Huckleberry watched the pup bounce away. She was so happy and enthusiastic. Why? What was there to be particularly happy about? Saying that they were friends didn't really mean anything. Not unless they actually acted like it. It was a little concerning and Huckleberry looked down at Shiny. "Why is she so happy? Do you know if anything happened?"

The catsquirrel flicked her tail, looking up at the hybrid with an expression that vaguely rang of amusement. I don't think so. Some people just default to that. They don't need a reason to be happy. It was so wild and foreign to him, despite living among those that were calm and peaceful, to be happy without any reason...it brought back distant memories.

As a child. Bouncing around, yipping excitedly. Blackberry sure beat that out of him quickly. Don't let anyone get to you, kid, he thought a little bitterly, but he felt a little bit better as he set his head back down on the ground and turned his attention back to the task at hand.
