Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

BARATHEON
"the world is mine for the taking"
The dragon listened as Usui explained that he was a crocodile. However, this dragon who seemed to be named Dragon. How funny! Though Baratheon couldn't really scoff at the name. It certainly got the point across! He was a crocodile-dragon then? Perhaps there were different types of dragon? He was a furry dragon and Dragon was a crocodile-dragon. Made sense. "Dragon-Crocodile!" He stated, expressing the sudden realization.
Either way he was happy at having more relatives and more playmates. He watched as the other lifted his head and released a few spurts of embers into the sky. Even though that wasn't the plan for Dragon, Baratheon was certain that he'd meant to do this. Perhaps they should release fire together! Except... he couldn't breath fire. Something else though?
He lifted his own head and opened his mouth but not even embers erupted form his maw, only a small stuttering blast then nothing. Ah well... Play was more important than blasts at the moment.
After he lowered his head back in the water he felt the nibble at his foot and heard the loud call. Tag? That meant that Dragon did know how to play! With an excited squeal he took a breath then dived under the water. His pink eyes located the other easily as he swam forward, limbs tucked and wings at his side as he practically slid through the water towards the crocodile-dragon.
When he was certain that he was within reach Baratheon turned suddenly and attempted to use his tail to touch Dragon so that he could have a quick getaway.
.
Usui swivelled his head to Dragon’s comment and raised a brow but made no comment. He noted how Baratheon and Dragon had made such a quick connection and played with one another. He observed the embers sparking within the croc’s teeth. That was fire magic, and he had seen the critter fail at it before. Then he turned to Baratheon who was attempting to copy the magic though a weak blast appeared instead. Usui had yet to uncover what Baratheon’s magic was, but there was no rush. He’d get his opportunity soon. Pale green eyes watched both creatures snake along the water in the same way, and for once he felt rather much alone. The boy shrugged. He was armed with his mind and the water did not suit him very much either way. Usui left the two to romp while he turned and moved back up the bank. There, he sat down and overlooked the two playing. He noted how Baratheon seemed to float and glide along the water, briefly wandering if he’d float in a sea of blood. As soon as he saw the image, it was gone. Usui blinked and shook his head. Surely it wasn’t an omen of some kind?
Settling on his haunches, Usui called out to them coarsely. "I’ll wait here. “ He was rather contented observing the scenery rather than being the one partaking in play right now with this lizard which he was starting to feel a distinct dislike for.

Dragon came up with a quiet sputter, glancing around quickly so that he could see Baratheon. He grinned when he saw that the "other" dragon was already arrowing away. He called out after him before submerging, propelling himself down with powerful strokes of his ridged tail.
"Not CROCODILE-Dragon! I'm not CROCODILE!" He laughed, seemingly finding this humorous, then added--"That stupid-weird lion is wrong!"
Which... technically Usui was, but crocodile was certainly closer to dragon in terms of what Dragon was. But he was already forgetting the irritating know-it-all cub, ducked under the water and following Baratheon.
He was made for water, and while somewhat slow and clumsy on land, here he was in his element (but nobody had told him that; he was still convinced he was fire). Joyfully he swept up behind Baratheon, glad to have yet another brother who was like he was--wait, what was his name?
Dragon nipped playfully at Baratheon's tail, then surfaced with a spraying splash before peering at him. His tone was still cheerful as he repeated the dragon's question back at him: "Name?"
The young dragon hardly heard what the lion called out to him. He was too distracted and was having too much fun to really pay attention. Another thing he heard but it registered much more readily was the fact that Dragon wasn't a dragon-crocodile, just a dragon. It was hard to believe that Usui was wrong since the cub had told him who he really was but whatever. Perhaps Dragon was more sure about his species... He certainly seemed older and much more versed in the world.
As the furred dragon swam away from the other dragon, his tail helping to power him along, he risked one glance backwards. A squeal of excitement bubbled out from his throat as he realized Dragon was gaining. Baratheon was far more suited to land and while he was proficient at swimming in water he still wasn't made for it like Dragon was. Perhaps as he grew older and stronger he would be better at it but for now he would be slower than the other.
He surfaced, wings out beside him again. Baratheon attempted to swim away but he felt the telltale nibble on his tail that meant that Dragon had caught him. He laughed though, happy to have someone like him --more or less-- to play with. He hadn't been this happy since he had been with Flafe! "Baratheon!" He replied cheerfully to Dragon's question.
He eyed the other dragon with his pinkish gaze. Those scales, reptilian eyes, the long body, and powerful tail... Yes. He seemed quite like a dragon to him. Hmm... He wondered if there were any more dragons around. If there were he'd love to meet them all. It'd be like a whole extended family! "More brothers?" He asked questioning if Dragon knew of any more of their kind.
.
Usui shook his pelt fiercely, swinging mud and pieces of sand all over the place as he sat neatly. Although he was still sodden, it wasn’t half as bad as being in the water. He was able to swim since Eeya’s lessons but he was a cat who did not take a fancy to that aqua and so sitting by the bank was a much welcome alternative for him. Pale green eyes looked on as the dragon and croc-thing swam and bonded with each other. Their light chatter was not distinct enough for Usui to hear and he was not bothered by it currently. Rather, the lion observed the swimming styles of both Dragon and Baratheon and committed them to memory. Then, he curled up into a ball and closed his eyes, still fully conscious but resting contentedly under the sun while his fur dried up. His lion tail flicked behind him lazily. He could have remained in this position for a long, long time while waiting for the two boys to be done. It had been a long time since he had proper rest.
Dragon tilted his head, idly swimming along after Baratheon.
"Barath-eon," he tried. "More brothers! Ghan-yarah," he agreed at once, bright-eyed. "He's more like me--no... feathers? But he has pink like you. On his skin and on his head! A stone! He does cold magic," the alligator explained.
As he continued to sort of just tread water in the crystal-clear pool, he carried on speaking, looking rather thoughtful--for an alligator.
"I met him in Cetus. I live in Cetus. It's a good place for a dragon. A swamp. Wet. Dark. It's my home. Have you been there? Are you from there? You should come!"
Ghanyarah? Wow! That sounded like a powerful name! So, he was like Dragon but without his-- "Fur." He said, helping out his fellow dragon. He was fairly sure that the white stuff coating his body was fur and not feathers, anyway. Hmph, now that he thought about it why did he have fur and not scales like Dragon? Well, he had a little bit of scales on his chest and belly but that was it... nothing compared to Dragon's scaled body.
He wondered if he would be able to meet this other dragon soon. Everything Dragon told him sounded wonderful! He'd been to Cetus, yes, and it wasn't a particularly bad place. If other dragons lived there then it must be even better. You could see excitement shining in his eyes at everything Dragon told him. He wanted to meet everyone and go to Cetus! He was so excited that he began to speak without restriction. "I like Cetus! Can I meet Ghanyarah? I want to see all of our other brothers and see your home!" Really he did. Everyone and everything! And cold magic! That sounded so cool too!
.
Usui lay still on the bank, enjoying the sun that came shining down. Following a moment's pause, he decided to go on a hunt. Immediately he got into a hunter's crouch and padded softly away, only once did he throw a glance over his shoulder to look at the two "dragons" happily bonding with each other. As much as he loved all creatures the lion felt it hard to be fair in his dealings with the croc critter. Pushing his paws silently towards the corner, Usui closed his eyes and scented the air carefully.
There! He could smell a small mouse. Having hunted so many of them before, his senses were more adapt in deciphering their petite frames from amongst the flora and fauna. He padded to the prey and dug in his heels, then launched himself forward at the grey squeaky animal and crushed it between his jaws. Usui wasn't feeling really hungry so perhaps he could let his companions share this meal once they were done swimming. Rat danging from his mouth, the lion cub padded back to the area, lay down and dropped it between his paws, contented to see the two gembounds swimming gracefully through the water.
Dragon peered over at Baratheon, and tread water slowly as he thought. Then he seemed to perk up, nodding, the other dragon's cheerfulness bleeding through to him. He felt cheerier, now, and calmer and more confident about the situation. His new brother wasn't going to attack him--he didn't think--and he knew Cetus and he wanted to meet Ghanyarah!
"Yeah!" he responded enthusiastically. "Just come to Cetus any time and he'll probably be around? I think he lives there too! It's a dragon-swamp! When were you there?" The little alligator swam in swift circles, playing with his own wake, then diving down and coming up in the middle of it. He had never tried making patterns in the water, before, and it distracted him, briefly, before he looked back up to Baratheon.
"He's really fun and there's a giant tree there--but I guess you've seen that if you were there? What do you eat? Why do you have fur? Where are you from?" The questions came rapid-fire, Dragon idly rolling and spinning around the pond as he asked.

BARATHEON
"the world is mine for the taking"
A dragon-swamp? That was certainly useful for dragons like them. He paused, watching the other dragon swim around in circles. Those were neat little tricks and like Dragon he was distracted for a moment before he managed to answer. "Um... a couple of days ago. I think." He thought about it for a moment. Then the dragon was asking him more questions. He barely managed to keep up with him with all those questions... Then, he found something that distracted him even further from those questions.
A salty scent assaulted his nostrils, one that he knew all too well. He sniffed quite loudly and his pink eyes took on a distinctly reddish tone. The questions that Dragon answered were completely forgotten about. His mind had other things to worry about... like that mouse that Usui had just caught and brought back. How generous... A growl bubbled up in his throat as he turned, eyes locking onto the cat while that reddish haze formed over his vision. The growl that started became even louder as he opened his maw and roared. It was a kiddish, high-pitched roar but still a roar nonetheless.
Wasting no time he turned and easily swam towards the shore. His eyes were completely crimson as he locked in on the bleeding mouse. Easily he launched himself out of the water, claws bared as he prepared to slash at Usui if the cub didn't move out of his way. Then, once he was on shore he grabbed the mouse by the tail. He shook his head side to side like a dog playing with a toy, spraying himself and the ground with blood before he finally swallowed it whole.
Now his red eyes locked onto Usui, staring at him while his lips pulled up into a snarl. He'd been sated, yes, but wouldn't it be nice if he had something else to eat? He took a step forward towards the pale cub but then pulled back. His body began to twitch and his head shook to and fro... it appeared as if he was fighting with himself quite violently.
