Arkrael is suddenly taken back to a different time. She can see the rapid weathering of the rock wall and shadows passing over it, however these processes appear to be occuring entirely in reverse. Eventually there is a period of stillness in the wall - a time when no creatures roamed the hall. Immediately after there is an immense shuddering. The ground seems to shake beneath Arkrael's paws but in memory only. The massive crack in the wall suddenly seals, and the memory cuts off with a feeling of stillness.

Air rushed out of the canine's lungs almost instantly as memories suddenly clouded her vision. Her world around had shifted until things were moving. Things that weren't really there, but had been. Wide eyes stared at the wall, watching as all the shadows moved in reverse along the wall. When things fell still, no longer moving, Arkrael found that she couldn't even convince her muscles to try and move herself. Immense shock seemed to keep the air from coming back into her lungs and it wasn't until she felt the earth shaking beneath her paws did she gasp loudly for air. The crack upon the wall sealed with a loud crash. Or rather, that's merely how her mind perceived it as she watched the thing seal itself shut.

The memory soon faded, returning her gaze to a normal time and Arkrael stared even longer at the marking upon the wall. Ears were pushed forward in alert, no muscle moved as she tried to figure out what exactly was going on. Her mind trailed back to the rattling beneath her paws she had felt only seconds ago and the soft flash of her gem went unnoticed. Arkrael let out a long breath as as she turned her gaze this way and that, half expecting to see someone else around. Alas there was not and Arkrael was left to stand there dumbfounded about what she had just witnessed.

Arkrael had taken a day to rest and ponder over what she had seen the previous day. Now, she had gathered up a lot of rocks to work. A soft hum escaped Rae, grinning as she felt her gem come to life with vibrations and it's own personal humming. Almost instantly the rocks gathered around in front of her began to compress before sharp cracks filled the tunnel and slowly fell away to reveal a few precious gems. Arkrael's tail wagged contentedly as she studied the gems. Each held it's own unique beauty and with a happy grin got up and pushed them over to her growing pile of pretty gems. Eventually she will have enough to create her first piece of armor. However she was going to manage that anyways.

As Arkrael peered at the growing pile of gems she couldn't help but wonder just how she would ever manage to create the visions within her mind. The armor had been based off of the magnet spell she could use. Drawing the iron ore all around her was a fun experience for her. One she always enjoyed to use. Perhaps she would practice it, summon the ore to her, and get an idea on how she wanted to craft her armor. She moved towards the center of the room again and began to focus. For a long moment she stood there. Nothing. Not a single hum or vibration came from her gem. A rumble began deep in Arkrael's chest as she frowned. A failure?! Was she not above this by now?! She popped her jowls with annoyance but she would not give up. She would try again one last time before she took another break.

Arkrael paced about, grumbling to herself at her inability to call forth her magic. Steeling her nerves she turned back around and went back to her spot and tried again. Nothing. Again nothing came and a violent snarl ripped away from her. She bared her fangs and jumped over to a pile of rocks she had previously gathered the other day and swung her claw-extended paw at them. Sending them scattering around the tunnel floor. Hackles bristled as her top lip quivered in her annoyance. She should not be failing this much! Why was her power ignoring her?! After she decided to calm herself, easing her breathing as she did so, she heaved a sigh. "Whatever..." she grumbled to herself as she padded over to her gathered gems and sunk down to rest next to them, grumpily dropping her head onto her now outstretched front legs.

With one final sigh, Arkrael felt it time she needed a true break from practicing her spells. So, with one last look to the pile of gems she had made Arkrael decided how the best way would be to carry them off back to her home. When her only option was to gather them all up in her maw she gave a shrug and began the process of gathering them all up. With a mouthful of gems Arkrael turned and made her way out of the Tunnel, making the long trek back to Eridanus.
