The Vampirics/Viscerals

These are a bunch of vampiric gembounds who will, through time, discover each other and realize that they possess a common trait feared/shunned by general members of Origin – getting sustenance through consuming blood of lesser and greater gembounds.

They may be friends/acquaintences but their ideals vary. Who to draw blood from, who to spare? There are unwritten rules each gembound comes to realize and they will create a term used to denote those who are unable to control their thirst as well and who target greater gembounds, or kill for sport.

These will be referred to as The Viscerals. Visceral: characterized by or proceeding from instinct rather than intellect. These gembounds will scatter across Origin and integrate into other packs or remain strong alongside each other, killing and hunting as they deem fit. It is entirely up to you! Who knows, will this “bloodlust” be spread to the 2nd generation? Existing characters are welcome to join this mini-plot.

Just to further here's a loose analogy: Vampires who feast on animal blood (Vampirics) vs Vampires who feast on human blood (Viscerals). The former and latter might regard each other with distaste and the former is generally viewed as being more benevolent.

First generation species: Mink, weasels, vampire finch, vampire bat. Note that weasels or minks do not suck blood but may lap blood off fresh kills.
