Erebos continued to stare from a distance. Would he do what it wanted him to? It followed behind slowly, suspicious of his work, looking at what he'd gathered. It was strange, getting used to having one eye- and his wounds still stung, and he hissed as his expression changed slightly.
It had to shove that down. Erebos lowered its head onto the table as it watched Attikias work, looking at the thin mask he made. It reached out to grab it when he offered it, but it was pulled back too soon, and the leather was put on.
Erebos squinted before it took the finished mask, pressing it to its face. It could breath, and it could see- that was its only concern, really. Drawing back and up, Erebos took the leather and tied it behind its head, pressing the mask on a little too tight. "Works." It curled its tail in, dropping its hands once it was certain that the mask would say on.
Did it want to tell him what happened? "Monster fought me. I lost. Need to go back." It growled, teeth baring under the wooden mask. Its hand came back up to tap its claws against the wood, watching Attikias through the one hole for its remaining useful eye.

Attikias waited patiently as Erebos tried out the mask. It fit- good. Yeah, it was a little plain for now, but he kind of liked it. Maybe the titanium? "Good," Attikias spoke, humming out.
But, Erebos kept talking, and his face went a little more serious. Fought a monster? Alpha..? No, probably not. "You shouldn't be fighting monsters," he chided, folding his arms. "Can you-- why, did you fight?" He talked with one hand, holding it out as he gestured.
He needed to do something with this child. Erebos was too liable to get hurt by itself, but it didn't like staying around here--
Draco? Vargas's group? What were they called..? Maybe Erebos could get some training there, and that stuck in Attikias's mind. They had monsters, they'd keep Erebos in check, and hopefully, it wouldn't get hurt there, either. Besides, its own sibling was there, too, that selenite...
Slowly, he brought a finger up to his chin as he thought, looking at Erebos. "Actually- how do you feel about coming with me somewhere?"

Why did you fight? Erebos squinted further, not answering. Attikias didn't need to know. It fought, because it did.
But, it knew that look. Attikias was thinking, and Erebos grumbled under its breath, curling back in on itself. Going somewhere? Where? It huffed out.
The only place it wanted to go was back to the monster. Eventually, it gave a simple word in response: "No." It was a hiss, and its quills rattled, pulling back in anger at Attikias. It did not want to go somewhere for some lesson.
In fact, it didn't want to go anywhere with him.

Attikias expected that. Standing, he smoothed out his clothes as he sighed, jerking his shirt into a straight top. "Come on. It doesn't hurt, and if you come with me, you'll be able to beat that monster. Okay?"
He started away, hoping Erebos would follow. Would it? It wasn't likely, but it did like to fight, he imagined, so this may work...
Hesitantly, at the edge of camp, Attikias turned his head to regard his child. What would become of it in Vargas's group? Would they become more mature, learn to pick their fights? They needed to heal now, though- hopefully, it wouldn't be pushed too far for now.
And so, he continued on, his mind set on Draco. It was up to Erebos if they followed or not, then.

Erebos groaned under its breath. Did it have a choice in this? It drew forward as Attikias left, and it grumbled, staring after its father.
He'd paused, and Erebos growled, rolling its eye before it made to follow. Attikias made the mask, after all- and, truthfully, it didn't need help to beat that thing. But, anything would help, maybe, and it followed closely behind Attikias after deciding that it might as well.
Somewhere, deep down, it was actually looking forward to this. Was it going to receive a lesson? It followed the path Attikias had picked out, pushing off of trees with its claws as it surged on behind the elf.
