Chaos-Two was so generous to offer their arm once again, an offer Diot took almost immediately. He climbed up with a soft smile, taking a moment to pat Chaos-Two in a silent thanks. While he most certainly could chase after everyone on the way to Pegasus he preferred to keep as much energy as he could for the new beginnings of the farm and gardens. He was certain that Master Vargas would also appreciate it, a gembound focused on the task at hand. Though he had just met the Valkhound, but they were rather professional and to the point so...

Well, either way, it didn't matter in the great scheme of things right now. They all had begun their journey and Master Vargas was ever so kind enough to explain in detail the mention of Valkhound. It was an interesting term, mention of the creator- he wondered briefly if that was similar to the individual his father often spoke about...what was the name. Mother? He filed that away for later, there were evidently higher powers in and out of these caves and he'd take his time to ask Master Vargas about them should the opportunity arise.

Apparently, Valkhounds were soldiers. Formed in this nest. How quaint...now did he mean Draco or the caves in their entirety. Considering some of the gembounds he had met in his life, the chaos that spiraled and swirled with life as they breathed well... he wasn't too sure but he felt the answer wouldn't surprise him. Diot wasn't entirely sure how to feel about everything else that was mentioned. Fiends and beasts, words that often explained creatures of unusual appearance or origin- so perhaps Valkhounds were true in that name The Levithan was one. Still, Diot held a bit of an ache whenever such words were used on living individuals, especially those who may yet deserve such. He'd take care not to call anyone by those, especially the Valkhounds. He always took care to offer a fair shake and hand to those regardless of their appearance or creed. If they meant no harm then neither did he.

And the mention that they will not harm him but instead they will be allies was comforting. Diot did appreciate those who were blunt and upfront, it made things a lot easier in these chaotic caves. He was rather excited for this new chapter of his life, especially one filled with curiosity and mystery. So he made sure to give thanks for all that had transpired.

"Ah, thank you! That satiates my curiosity about the term! Though I do have a few more questions now. But, those can wait when I am off duty of course. We have a lot of work ahead of us after all!"

Chaos-Two felt a childish sort of glee in the fact that they were the leader of this little group, at least in the sense that they were in front, showing the way. Master Vargas still held authority, but they felt like a kid running ahead on a hiking trail, forming the front of the family group.

They were even more happy when Diot took their offer, gladly providing assistance to their new friend, their happiness evident by the waggling of their fluffy tail.

"I've explored Pegasus quite a bit while hunting and gathering," they said, turning their head to catch sight of Master Vargas and Oliver, "There's a particular little glade that I think will suit this farm. It is quite large with a stream along one edge, and it is on a hill, so drainage won't be an issue."

With a skip in their step they continued on into the tunnel, rather happy despite the horrifying trees that were behind them and the disappointment of Oliver. They hoped that their mood would be contagious and they could lighten him up, for sadness or melancholy wasn't something that seemed to fit Oliver very well, in their opinion. It didn't suit anyone, really.

Off to Pegasus they went, excited to show their findings and to see what Diot, Vargas, and Oliver thought of it all.

- THE LEVIATHAN -

All went well: Oliver didn't call him on his bullshit, Chaos-Two offered up a decent-sounding plot, and Diot proved both well-spoken and intelligent.

Vargas was relatively pleased--not overjoyed or anything, but content with this state of affairs. "Show me, then," he replied, and something of the adventurous spirit currently exhibited by Chaos-Two touched him ever-so-lightly.

Vargas did not often head out in a group. It was a callback to old times: to old hunts, Vakornol and similar monsters by his side. This was... absolutely nothing like that, but moving out, with company-? It brought back ancient memories.
