A smile was given to the child, cooing sweetly to him as he spoke of loving her. Oh my the heavens . . . Just the word warmed her heart and she quickly nuzzled her face into the fur of Yarrow. "I love you too, so very much." He needed to know this, she would always love him dearly. That was the least she could do for bringing him into this cruel place. He smiled back at her, his eyes watery and brilliant, and he sniffed and nodded. She was inviting him to explore, and if she wanted him to, he would. Surely there was a lot to explore, surely there was a nice and wonderful world out there that was promised to him in his shell.
