What if:

- Each "generation" of Gembound is a new iteration of life in some sort of test or transportation (going with the 'caves are a spaceship' potential here)?
- After each, someone is set to wipe them out (Raheerah, I'd imagine--maybe Aquarian in Cetus too but he was 'betrayed' so he's like nah fuck it m8s?)
- This explains why previous generations are wiped out and why they're all alien; maybe this iteration is for Earth creatures only! EARTHTEST

I think that the spire and the golems are connected in a really creepy way! What if the golems want to take gems from gem bounds so they can give them to the spire to make it bigger?? Would explain why it crackles with power; its pure magic!

But why would the spire be blue if it was made up of all the gems? :O Unless they just like,, funnel the magic into the spire :U
