The wolf's mouth half-opened and then shut. Kera knew what it was like to want to rip something apart and destroy it out of hatred and anger and things, but actually doing that was-- well, it wasn't particularly fun. She was worried Asimona would end up regretting it later, if she did it.

Her ear flicked. "You can--" she began, though was quickly cut off as the dragon crumped back to the ground. She watched for a moment and then shook her head, continuing. "You can try and catch fish if you want-- if you can move. You just have to lie down by the river, you can try it?"

Kera approached the river absently, laying down on her stomach and peering over her shoulder towards Asimona again. "It's okay," she said. "I've caught food for others before but sometimes they didn't ever really appreciate it." She huffed tensely at this. The memory of Aka was akin to the scent of carrion-- unpleasant and eye-watering. She tried to push the owl out of her mind.

Her mind, instead, turned focus towards the river as she leaned over, peering into the depths. She caught sight of a fish and leaned over towards it, narrating backwards towards Asimona. "Just, when you see a fish you just gotta--" She swiped a massive paw into the water, though she caught nothing, briefly tipping over until her nose touched the water.

She was quick to save herself, however-- she scrambled backwards out of the water and shook herself off with a groan. "--not like that, but you just have to grab it when you see it. It can't move out of the water so once it's out, it won't get away."

Asimona glanced up at Kera as she laid her head out in front of her. How was she going to catch a fish? She couldn't fly above the water right now and she couldn't dive down to grab it and she definitely wouldn't be able to pull herself back up. That's how she knew how to fish and she didn't even think about how Kera would catch one without wings. It didn't occur to her that there were other ways.

So when Kera padded to the edge of the river, she curiously followed behind and sat next to her. She looked into the water and saw the faint glimmering of fish. Kera wasn't being very specific about how to snatch the fish out of the water, but her movements made sense, even if she didn't catch anything.

She looked around for a good fish to catch and caught her eye on a faint flash of movement getting closer and closer. Once it was almost in front of her, she lashed out and her claws sunk deep into its scaly flesh. She scooped it out of the water, blood trailing down her leg and set it on the ground in front of her. It was already dead, one of her claws having pierced its heart. She looked at Kera with exhausted triumph. "I didn't know you could catch fish without wings. Thanks for showing me."

She ran her claw through the fish, cutting it in half and slid one part of it to Kera. "Here, for teaching me how to do it and to apologize for my behavior."
