Kera blinked at Pride's eagerness to tell her about whosit in whatsit, looking around briefly before zoning her attention back into Pride. "Uh, got it," she eventually managed. "Which wall's it on? Not near the freaky cold-water, is it?"

The Eyes, Kera meant, of course. She'd been meaning to go back to Eridanus anyway-- if at least to make sure Rift wasn't dead --but seeing this Mercurius to learn how to eat plants was likely also a good idea.

And he was nice.

At least he wasn't a fucking murderer.

Kera tilted her head back in thought, and then nodded. "If you want to," the wolf said. "I have to eat first and you don't look like the type that likes to hunt for prey and stuff, though." She eyed up Pride for a moment, before adding, "you can help hunt if you want to, though."

Kera pushed herself up, shaking herself off once more before she began idly padding out into the open, sniffing the air. She was briefly distracted, however, by Pride's next question. Her leg. It didn't bother her-- the hibernation had taken care of it.

The wolf lifted her leg and took a glance over it. She remembered it looked more twisted before she went to sleep, but only slightly. Now, it lookd normal. "Nah," Kera concluded. "It feels better than it ever did before I went to sleep. I reckon I could even run properly on it now."

She flashed a doggish grin over her shoulder to Pride, though her expression was briefly flooded with... well, something Kera didn't know the word for. What happened to her leg. Blackberry happened, was the short answer-- but that meant taking a defeat from a fucking goose.

So what if she'd been two hours old when it occurred?

Kera set her paw back down on the cave floor. "It was broken when I hatched," she said. "Just fell on it, when I was coming down the throne for the first time." Less heroic, but Kera didn't want a lie too grandoise to blow her cover.

An accident was better than a defeat.

"Somebody put a gemstone on it, to try to set it, but I think the damage had already been done. It looks a lot better now, though."

Pride would have smirked, now--if he could. "I do have some experience with it, though I obviously will not hunt deer or the like. But I have a friend--a canine, in fact--who has a damaged leg. I hunted for her when she could not do so for herself. I wonder if a hibernation would aid her," he added, thoughtfully. He'd have to mention it to her.

"And yes, it is nearish the Eyes. Do not go into them--there is something strange about them--but the grove is not too close. If you start there, though, you'll find it quickly enough."

He stretched, and shook himself a little. "Let me go inform my allies that I will be gone, and I will catch up with you." He turned, moving off toward the Throne at a graceful, floating trot.

He'd certainly like to meet this Collector--and perhaps Tenzin, or Astraea, or even simply Dragon, to discuss things.

How much he'd learned today! This was, he thought contentedly, quite good.

Kera let out a faint 'huh' at the notion that Pride did, in fact, know how to hunt. "Maybe," Kera offered. "But I wouldn't go kickin' the shit outta your friend to try to get her to hibernate or something."

The wolf licked her muzzle for a moment, then shrugged. "Yeah, uh, I know," she said, thinking back to what Giggle had said about the Eyes. There was definitely more than something wrong with them, but it looked like Pride was already leaving.

Perhaps after they meet the Collector, then.

"See you there," Kera said, turning to make her own way with hunting. At least, today, she'd made one very stable friend, and was yet to encounter any of the-- murder-dumplings that Blackberry had spawned.

... yeah, that was good.
