No place settled - way to make yourself easily accessible in the future. Garnet was familiar, at least, with Canis, but the other caves only rang a bell by name. Well, only Cetus. Aquarian resided in Cetus - and now this master of artistry, sometimes.
"Where are Cetus and Mun-noh-cer-us - ? From here? I should be catching up with someone," it chirped, even as warmth pooled over frosty feathers and locked-up joints. The sudden opening of a jaw had been enough to startle it, tensing up to flee. Relaxing slightly, the champion flexed its wings and admitted, "much better." The sensation wouldn't last, but it was the thought that counted, right?
Lifting its paws, rubbing them together, and drawing them down its face and neck, Garnet hoped to relish what heat came. Smoothing down feathers would be step one to keeping it in. Getting out of here was step two.
But, first - a small chirp, "thank you for this, Imp."

"Oh? Who are you meetin' with? Can I come?" Then, as if he hadn't just asked that, Imp began to give directions. "I could show you the way! Cetus is right through there. That smelly bit. Follow that stink and you're there!"
Then he turned, rapidly shuffling to face the other way. "Okay and if you wanna go to Monoceros, you can go over there but this way's faster, through Polaris and crap, and then into Orion, okay? The room with all the glittery shit on the roof. Monoceros is through, like, this real big broad bright tunnel with a load of stuff all on the ground! And carvings. -You can't miss it, I arted the walls!"
Imp puffed himself up, proudly. On the plus side, he seemed to have forgotten asking to come along--maybe.

Garnet Five-Seven-Nine glanced to the side. Imp's coming along might - prove beneficial. All things considered, the champion had most certainly lost its current target, and here was another. Offering to just follow along. Its throat bobbed as it swallowed - though with its head tucked into its neck, it appeared like a brief nod. "He may have questions, but - yes. If you'd like. I might find him in Canis, if you could lead the way there."
It was a little turned around. These icy corridors seemed to all look the same, the less it paid any mind to them. Yes, even with the stink of swamp rolling closer when it peered in the same direction as the gargoyle.
"I'll try to remember those caves, though. Lead the way?"
It was - kind of growing fond of Imp.

Imp turned, that permanent grin plastered across his face.
He gathered up the chalks, carefully shoving them into the bag, then into the box, and picked these up in one taloned foot.
"Right, you can fly--right?" he asked, glancing briefly back at Garnet. Then he lifted off, flapping heavily and unsteadily, what with his heavy gator tail, off toward the rather convoluted route that would (eventually) lead them to the bones of Canis.
"Follow me! -I hate that dark weird tunnel. But it's this way!" Imp cried, cheerful, as he flapped his way away.

The dog-sized, rather brutish-looking creature could be surprisingly delicate when the situation called for it. Each chalk was treated with care. Garnet supposed they were important in artistry, and it had never seen anything quite like them. Rare, perhaps.
"I can," it chirped, pacing down the length of the wall and lifting off after Imp. Once they got to more familiar grounds - Orion, perhaps - it would take the lead.
It was in for a long haul, but at least the inevitable chatter of the gargoyle would keep it preoccupied with something other than post-fun regret.
