The chicken was entirely ignored as Glaive returned to Kaimana. The jaguar awaited her friend with the brightest of grins she could conjure. "You are absolutely right, Glaive. They don't," Kaimana responded. Vargas wanted "potential"? Glaive had more potential for kindness than anyone Kaimana had ever met before. If someone told Kaimana that most of Glaive's bodyweight was actually just sweetness and kindhearted consideration for others, Kaimana would be obliged to believe them. If Vargas and Kalama couldn't see that, then... they didn't need or deserve to. "As am I," was her response to the wish to go home.

Then came the pet, or the attempt as one, which Kaimana eagerly awaited. Somehow Glaive whinged it, but that was fine. She tried and no pet was ever a failed pet. There was plenty of time to try some more, in better condition, when they got back home. 'I bet I love you more.' Oh, stop it you adorable doofus, you're gonna give her a toothache! "I don't think you're able to love me more than I love you." That was saying something, because Glaive could do a great many things. Kaimana was willing to pose a challenge, though. For fun. For pets!

Pausing a moment to retrieve her dear stone, Kaimana went out with Glaive, back home at last.
