It slumped down, out cold.

Vargas checked it briefly, and then moved in for the "kill:" a slash of claws intended to quickly sever the arteries in its neck. It would--so he hoped--give its stone plenty of time to reclaim it; once Chaos-Two was back in its chrysalis, then his work could begin.

He was already planning how to go about this, running it over in his mind: the reshaping of pelvis and the fixing of its eyes, so that it could move freely, and see. It wouldn't--shouldn't--be that hard to accomplish, now that he knew where he had gone wrong.

It was just a shame that his workspace would be full of blood.

There was a slight twitch of muscle, basically having a stroke due to the sudden lack of blood flow to the brain. His heart started to beat quicker and his breathing picked up, but it was far too late for anything to be done to prevent such a thing.

They were very quickly enveloped in their chrysalis before further damage could be caused, blood dripping through the cracks of the hardening shell before it sealed up completely.

It was quiet.
