Once again her single eye widened in barely contained fear, stance wavering at the display before Sabor had spoken up again.

"HEY, just hush long enough to eat this! It's good, promise." Sabor said sheepishly, allowing the rabit's leg to drop from between his teeth with a quet thump on torn up soil.

"... Alright, I'll give it one shot, but that's it. No more after that if I don't like it, Sabor."

The cub huffed, resigning herself to her fate of being badgered into trying things that Sabor assumed were good. Lowering herself closer to the carcass, pausing to turn her head slightly in order to see it easier, Tolani took the leg from the soil, shaking the dirt from dark brown fur, and sending the blood in little droplets along the floor in a crimson arch.

Placing the limb under a forepaw, she carefully adjusted her hold, pulling her head away to bring a chunk of meat along with her, nails pressing harder into the bone as she moved.

Preparing mentally for some sort of bitter taste left her mind completely blank as the sweet, copper tang of blood flooded her mouth, eye widening in mute surprise before proceeding to scarf the rest of the limb down, licking blood from her claws after the bone had been mostly ceaned, only the harder to reach bits of meat had been left between offcolored bones.

UH this was taking forever! He felt stuck in a time loop, waiting for her to try the rabbit! It was aeonian! Never ending torture! He was just about to let out a disappointed groan, until she finally spoke up.

"... Alright, I'll give it one shot, but that's it. No more after that if I don't like it, Sabor."

He practically vibrated with excitement, watching with pupils widely dilated, waiting. She picked up the leg, shaking dirt from the dark brown fur. This was so intense. This was the moment of truth, it all had been building up to this! Wow, watching her eat with such concentration he realized how dainty she actually was. Tolani was eating in complete contrast to him, where he was ravenous she was taking the time to ensure optimum enjoyment of the meal. Taking the best bites out of what was available to her in a seemingly specific order, cleaning it all from the bone. That was rather different, as he had devoured any bones he uncovered, biting everything in large chunks. Well they weren't that similar, but close enough to be companions.

A wide smile on his maw and wide colorless eyes he watched her, practically vibrating from the pride that revved up in his throat. "SO did you like it! How was it!?"

Her attention flickered upwards from the bones, staring blankly into the thin ring of gold that made up Sabor's iris before slowly tilting her head, tongue darting out to clean the carmine liquid from her muzzle.

"SO did you like it! How was it!?" Sabor had practically shouted at her, looking nothing more than an over excited child with a low hum in her chest.

"Well..." Tolani started, raising a paw to continue cleaning herself, "I may need another sample to fully determine how I feel about it." a small pause to set her paw back down once the blood had been cleaned from it.

"But, from what I've tried... It's good, not as good as my berries but, still good." The cub hummed, her stub of a tail flicking happily as she pushed herself back into a standing position.

"But since you don't like the berries, and I'm pretty sure that small rabbit isn't enough to satisfy you when you use all that energy slappin' your gums together in a speech, we should go find more." She nodded, motioning with her muzzle in the direction Sabor had come from with the rabbit.

"Catch me if you can!" Tolani chimed, darting off into the foliage, not bothering to check if Sabor was following after her.

She had licked her muzzle, stared at him a few times and he couldn't wait for the praise! "Well..." she started off, the thin golden ring of his iris vibrating with increasing intensity. "I may need another sample to fully determine how I feel about it." He stopped, well she didn't hate the rabbit meat, but she didn't love it either. But it still was a success in his book!

"Yeah yeah yeah, not as good are your berries! But it was still good! YES! SEE! I! KNEW! IT!"

He puffed out his fluffy chest, attempting to cast the resemblance of a well praised king. She spoke about him not liking the berries, which she was 100% correct on that front. Even on the angle that a small rabbit still wasn't enough to satisfy his ravenous stomach. Ignoring the sarcastic comment about his royal gum slappin' he noticed she had left the rest of the rabbit for him.

Hunger in his eyes he picked it up gladly, only to see her run right past him. Yelling at him to catch her, but only if he can. With a rabbit in his jaws he ran after her. Yelling incomprehensible words that barely made it through the muffled sounds. He would catch up to her in no time, he always would.
