QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
Giggle just listened, watching quietly. When the bird panicked, and the lion cub's symptoms suddenly worsened, she tilted her head.
Oh, now this is precious. I wonder what she did...? Is he dying?
She remained silent, however. She couldn't help at all, and speaking or interfering would just get in the way, she knew.
Maybe she'd get to see a lion die.
She quickly suppressed the thought; it was cruel, and uncalled for--but some distant part of her rejoiced in glee. Some instinctive part, some part that said lions were the devil and smelled like them, too. Pushing all of that aside, she forced herself to remain silent and still--a mere observer.
Poor Bevy, though. The bird seemed frantic. Her, Giggle wished she could aid. Hm. Maybe she could.
She called out in a quiet yet confident voice, directing her words toward Bevy. The bird knew that she could tell fortunes--maybe a little white lie would calm her.
"Everything will work out--be swift and calm," she said. It was generic, pretty useless, but maybe it would help the bird to focus and not panic. Maybe.

I'm looking for a place to start, but everything feels so different now. Just grab a hold of my hand, I will lead you through this wonderland.
Enna was freaking out, truth be told. She had messed up. She had hurt someone. She was trying to make things better, and when she had actually meant to attack she had failed, and now she failed fixing things. If it wasn't for Usui's confident, weak words-- You got this, focus, -- and Giggle's calm, cool tone, she might have broke out into hysterics. "Okay... No worries." She took a deep breath, pushing the worst of her fears out of her mind. As it was, she nodded, and trembling, went to get the rest of her supplies, the moss spent. She had washed off as much of the toxin as she could.
Water up to my knees, but sharks are swimming in the sea. Just follow my yellow light and ignore all those big warning signs.
She flew back over to her leaves and clutched the parcel in her talons, grabbing the vines next, and returned. Placing the smaller leaves was easy, though it took a while and was probably the most painful part yet-- perhaps the numbness had done some good, however.. Maybe it wouldn't hurt much at all. "That's it, see? Easy. Just a bit longer now," she told the lion cub, her voice as kind as ever. She nodded firmly, trying to radiate as much confidence as possible. Once she had finished that, her large leaf was wrapped around his leg, followed by the vine-- all of this took a great deal of time and patience, as she worked with only her beak and occasionally a talon. She worked as quickly as she dared, but she was extra careful not to let a single feather touch the lion. Even if the poisonous feather hadn't killed him.
Somewhere deep in the dark, a howling beast hears us talk. I dare you to close your eyes, and see all the colors in disguise.
"Just a bit more. You're doing great, Usui. The numbness won't last too much longer, it was just a little bit," She rationalized, doing her best to stay in control and keep her patient calm. She tugged the vines into place and did her best to tie them. This was the trickiest part, since she didn't have thumbs, but she certainly put a good effort in to make sure the leaves wouldn't wiggle out of place and hopefully his leg would stay firmly in place until it had healed. It wasn't as good as a splint or a cast-- Bevy hadn't learned how to do those yet-- but it was better than nothing.
Running into the night, the earth is shaking and I see a light. The light is blinding my eyes as the soft walls eat us alive.
"There, all done. I think you'll be okay now, Usui. If you like, you can come back to Pisces with me, you'll be safe there. Cancer and everyone else will make sure of it." she told him, eyes bright. She looked over her shoulder back at Giggle in the shadows, nodding subtly. She was so grateful that the hyena had decided to stay. She just knew she had to bring back bones to her now-- in fact, she would go and find the right bone just as soon as she got home. "Maji Walezi is the safest place in all of the caves," she finished shortly, returning her gaze back to the lion. "You can stay as long as you need to. There's plenty of fish to eat, and lots of comfy moss to sleep on. Sound good?"

Bevy was nervous, but her words carried hope. With each affirmation and methodological explanation of what she was doing, Usui felt very much better. He let his head thud back to the ground, front paws splayed out to the side, while she applied the leaves and vines to his feet. The lion would have been tempted to learn her binding techniques but today had exhausted him. His leg was numb by now, and the toxin did not seem to wish to spread much further. "It'll probably last for a few hours Bevy, don't worry” he quipped. When she was done, the boy attempted to draw forth his power to reinforce everything. Upon command, the vibrations between his body and the little metals in the cave began to react to one another, and the boy chose to concentrate his power around his legs. Two metal poles came to rest and firm up on either side of his hind leg. With the cast in place, the boy got up awkwardly and hopped towards the cave entrance. His hind leg felt nicely numb and the leaves and vines were strategically placed. "Thank you Bevy,” he spoke gently and grinned at the bird. She had been a big help when he had imposed his condition upon her. Bevy then spoke about going to a lovely place with shelter, food and rest. Maji Walezi? He flicked his tail, remembering the pebble which the bird had carved on. "Yes, I remember! You drew Maji Walezi for me,” he spoke up excitedly. If that place meant so much to her then…it’ll do very nicely for him too. "Thanks Bevy, thanks Giggles,” he turned to the hyena for a moment and nodded at her, "I won’t forget your help. Lets go to Maji now, Bevy, lead the way. Cancer did welcome me there before.” The leader had given him a personal invitation. Hopefully he wouldn’t be intruding now. Shuffling to Bevy’s side, he waited for the bird to guide him there.
