It took its time consuming its meal, but by the time it had picked off all of the meat from the bones, it figured that Imp hadn't been lying about the tunnel and was gone. Ah, that was too bad. It was calming itself down substantially while eating, chuckling a bit to itself as it thought about how ridiculous the conversation had been. Had it really been that antagonized that it had lost all restraint?

Damn, it really cared about the Overseer, apparently!

It rose to its feet, knocking the fish's carcass back into the water. Whatever Imp said, it didn't care if it was a slave. It was perfectly content with its life and that, to Beta, was really all that mattered. It turned and shambled out of Pisces, looking forward to a nice, long nap now that it had partially fulfilled some of its tasks.
