Kethri nodded and turned away, "... Alright. Stay safe, okay? Don't smash anyone else against a tree, I don't think that it generally makes you friends."

She raised her wings and flapped once, hard, before taking to the sky, a bit more wobbly than usual, her head aching. She looked back at Hecate and let out a hoot of goodbye, before turning and darting through the trees, disappearing.

They'd meet again... some day.

She felt like biting back a retort--of course smacking others didn't make her friends-! And she hadn't liked doing it anyway!--but Kethri was in flight, now, a ghostly shape quickly receding into the fog.

She huffed.

Very well, then, they might meet another time, or they might not. All in all she was glad that Kethri was not dead, but she was torn between her pride, her shame, her frustration, even now. She resolved to find someplace to... rest; maybe this would all feel better after she'd had a sleep.

And then she would continue her foul, muddy search.
