A purr rumbled deep in Abraxas’ chest as she hugged Renny’s leg. This deep purr caused her chest to vibrate against Renny’s leg. She was absolutely thrilled that he liked her art and that he was here, spending time with her. By far she had to admit, out of all the adults in her life she was beginning to think of Renny as her favorite. Abraxas dropped back to all fours as she felt Renny stiffen when he perked up. She backed away a few steps her head tilted curiously to one side.

Rounded ears perked curiously when Renny burst out that he had an idea. Intrigued Abraxas watched as Renny picked up the bag and tossed it back around his neck. For a moment she wondered if they were going to get stuff for more colors, but then Renny spoke up. He asked if she could fit in the bag, and she stared at it with a rather scrutinizing look. However she relented that she was indeed small enough. ”Maybe!” She chirped eagerly prancing in place at his idea.

As he lay down she trotted forward and climbed up wiggling her way into the bag. For a moment she squirmed trying to right herself in the bag, but eventually popped her head out of the top of the bag and her ears as well perked with excitement. She looked up at Renny’s chin and then around from this new height. With her nimble flexible paws the girl gripped the edge of the bag as she steadied herself. ”I fit!” She chirp-meowed eagerly from her new place in the bag.

She had all the confidence in the world in Renny at this point and couldn’t wait for their adventure to begin. ”What do you mean you think?” She asked curious of what he meant.

"Oh, it's nothing, I'm just trying to remember if there's anyone else I've flown with... oh! My dragon friend, Carja. I've flown with her," he said, standing up as smoothly as possible before walking forward.

James fluttered down to the ground and backed up, trying to get as much space as possible to get a running start. He took off at a dead gallop, spreading his wings and flapping hard, carrying the two of them into the air with relative ease. Thankfully Abraxas wasn't very heavy.

Up up up they went, the ground getting further and further away. He leveled out once they were above the trees and craned his neck to brush his nose against Abraxas.

"What do you think?", he asked, breathless, "Are you alright? Do you feel nauseous or anything?"

He was being a bit of a worrywart, but it was better to worry and have everything be okay than the opposite.

Abraxas nodded as Renny explained that he was just trying to remember who all exactly he had flown with. Satisfied with the answer she sat her butt comfortably on the bottom of the bag. ”who and what is a Carja?” The little girl questioned wondering about this new person Renny had referred to. Perhaps they could meet them sometime on an adventure with Renny. Abraxas let out a soft squeak as she swung back thumping off of Renny and swinging forward before she steadied when he stood up. The little girl flexed her digits against the edge of the bag as she looked up at Renny.

Abraxas perked excitedly as she felt the weightlessness of her body as they fluttered the short distance to the ground. She could feel her heart already beginning to pound within her little chest as her eyes widened. As they took off into the air the little girl’s body stiffened and she let out an excited meowing-chirp. It was amazing to feel, even if it wasn’t under her own power she was still flying!

Brilliant golden eyes gazed out over the treetops, amazed at this new sight and how much taller their tree house was than the other trees in Eridanus. The little girl gasped in awe as she looked out over everything. It was startlingly beautiful. A soft purr left the girl as James leaned down bumping her with his nose. ”This is amazing!” Abraxas cried excitedly. She pushed herself up in the bag so her legs were supporting her and she leaned forward the wind rustling her ears and soft tan colored fur. For a moment the little griffin-like creature closed her golden eyes and just felt the wind against her body and through her fur. It was an amazing feeling and she couldn’t wait to be able to do it under her own power.

”I’m fine Renny, I feel absolutely wonderful!” The girl breathed joyously as she reopened her eyes and settled back down in the bag, her golden eyes watching everything from the highest vantage she had ever seen before.

"Carja is my friend, she's a dragon, which is a massive lizard-like creature with wings," he explained, "She uses ice magic, but dragons can breathe fire if they wish."

James soared over the treetops, mane blowing in the wind, his wings carrying the two of them as easily as ever. He swooped down to drag his hooves over a pond before soaring up again, laughing in utter glee. Never before had he appreciated flying as much as he did when it was with someone else.

"I love you, Abraxas," he said, bowing his head to plant a kiss on her head, "With all of my heart, my darling."

Only a week or so old and she'd stolen his heart completely. She had him wrapped around her little claw, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

Pride was right.

"When we get back," he said softly, "How does eating sound? And if you're tired, we can have a nap before our family comes home. Does that sound nice?"

Abraxas perked up in the bag, her head tilting to one side curiously as she listened to Renny explain what a Carja was. Then what a dragon was. A giant winged lizard? She tried to picture it but just couldn’t seem to grasp the idea. And it breathed fire, now that was something interesting! A fire breathing lizard with wings! ”That sounds amazing! Do you think you could take me to meet them sometime?” The little griffin-like creature questioned, wanting to meet something so unique.

Abraxas leaned up and out of the bag a bit, as she gazed all around her. Taking in every treetop, every clearing, and the orbs that lit the caves themselves. It was all absolutely magnificent, the sight of everything from above was something she knew only a few privileged creatures ever saw and even fewer appreciated. Looking ahead Abraxas spotted a large crack in the ground and lifted one leg pointing at it. ”What’s that over there?” She asked referring to the fern trench.

Abraxas settled back against Renny as she watched the world. She caught his words and she relaxed even more than she already was, feeling the kiss planted on her, she let out a happy purr that rumbled her chest against him. ”I love you too Renny!” She chirped happily in response as she leaned her head back nuzzling Renny gently. She absolutely adored Renny and everything about him so far. He was absolutely wonderful, though she knew not everything about everyone was perfect and they would have their differences eventually, but right now things were wonderful so she saw no reason to dwell on things yet to come.

Rounded ears perked to catch Renny talking. He was suggesting things for when they got home. The little griffin-like creature perked enthusiastically and nodded. ”That sounds great!” The little girl agreed cheerfully to the new plan for when they returned home.

"Of course! I'm certain she'd be pleased to meet you," James said, adjusting his flight path to aim towards the trench.

"Oh, I don't know," he said, curious.

He swooped in along the massive skeleton, gasping. His eyes widened and he landed, careful not to step on the bones of whatever massive creature had died here.

James slowly picked his way along, ears forward and wings tucked in, amazed, "I can barely imagine what kind of creature this could have been, it was massive judging by the bones."

He didn't really understand that walking through a skeleton wasn't really child-friendly, but it was a learning experience.

"Look, Abraxas," he said, "We have bones in us too, they help keep us standing and protect our insides. We have a spine and ribs too."

Abraxas thrummed her claws on the side of the bag, as Renny agreed to let her meet Carja. That would be so much fun, meeting something huge and Renny’s friend? That was just icing on the cake for her. She couldn’t wait now until her and Renny took the trip together to go meet Carja. ”Can you tell me a little about Carja? What’s she like?” Abraxas questioned Renny eagerly.

Abraxas looked on curious as Renny adjusted his trajectory. To her the trench looked like a big scar across the area that was filled with lovely greenery. Though she couldn’t help but wonder what had caused the giant trench in the ground, had it been something natural or had some enormous creature made it? She wondered if Comet knew about the trench and if she had ever explored it. She would have to ask her elder sister about it, she was sure that the wolf had explored almost everywhere the world had to offer. She knew so many things and had seen so much, of course Abraxas admired her but she was nothing like Renny.

Abraxas eyed the trench curiously as they came closer, her sharp eyes picking out the beautiful white color curving up from the ground. The white structures seemed to run the length of the deep scar in the area. As they got closer and Renny landed, Abraxas let out a long whistle as she gazed up at one the white things. They were massive, Abraxas gazed out awe struck herself at the sight but she wondered what they were.

Renny seemed to be even more awe struck than Abraxas herself as he commented on them saying that they were the bones of some other creature. Did that mean these things had once been alive? The little griffin-like creature gazed at the spires of bone even more curious now. Then Renny explained that they had bones inside them too. Abraxas chirped softly looking at the massive spires of bone. So they had at one time been inside something that was living. Had it been a lesser or greater gembound? What kind of creature had left them behind? ”That’s amazing. I wonder what kind of gembound left them behind?” The girl wondered aloud as she stood up in her bag looking about at everything in the trench.

James walked along slowly, peering around the trench curiously, wings held close to him, "I wonder too... perhaps a massive snake."

He opened his wings and galloped forward, taking off and flying through the trench instead, flying until they reached where the head should have been. Maybe it was buried or simply missing?

"Are you ready to go home yet?", he asked, flying around in a circle above the trench, his braid long having been whipped out of its carefully done up style.

He carefully perched atop a rib bone, wings out and flapping gently to keep their weight light, ready to take off at any moment.

Abraxas sat in her bag intently looking at the massive bones as they passed along each one. They were absolutely massive, and she couldn’t bring herself to fathom the look of the creature that could have left such massive bones. Perhaps someday she would meet someone as large as this snake and perhaps they could make friends. There were many possibilities when it came to meeting strangers, some of them she would rather not think about. Like Comet’s meeting with the charger snake. She often worried about encountering things like that. ”Do you think they were mean or nice? Something so huge couldn’t have been easily fed. They must have eaten lessers by the dozen.” Abraxas commented aloud to Renny as she thought of these things.

Abraxas murred curiously as she watched the trench and the massive bones passby as they flew through the air. She was absolutely bewildered at the sight of the bones. She would someday want to come back here and investigate the bones on her own. Perhaps dig up the head of the creature. ”Do you think the head is buried? I’d like to see the head of this gembound. It must be huge.” The little girl noted to Renny she was turning out to be a very thoughtful and curious creature.

Rounded ears lifted catching Rrenny’s voice as he asked if she was ready to head home. Was she ready to go home? This was really fun, but was Renny suggesting going home because he was getting tired? Perhaps going home and getting something to eat for both of them would be far better than staying out much longer. Besides the others would probably be coming home soon anyway. ”Yeah, I think I’m getting kinda hungry. What about you?” She questioned sweetly suggesting heading home for some food.

James nodded gently, "Maybe. Perhaps it was lost, though I'm not sure where it could end up."

He shrugged and took off again, headed back towards home. Abraxas could explore more, he was exhausted from hunting berries and the long flight here.

"I'll find us fruit," he said, taking off and flying through the trees.

Fruits were dropped into the bag along with Abraxas, enough for the both of them before he turned and made his way towards their house, sighing softly. He landed gently and made his way inside, laying down.

"This was fun," he said softly, nuzzling Abraxas, "I enjoyed today."

He hoped Abraxas did too.
