Comet left without malice, it seemed, or any harbored grudge. That is was Mayfal concluded from what they could hear. They didn't respond to her farewell, but they were excited to meet them again.

They stayed in the water for a little while longer after Comet left. They wondered how this water came to be here. Comet probably had something to do with it, judging by the magic used in their sparing. She probably hadn't even planned for a hatchling to live here, but it ended up being useful for that purpose anyway. Maybe there was such a thing as destiny.

After soaking for a while, Mayfal decided to actually go inside of this home. It was warm. And dark. And quiet.
