At the lack of a display from Imp, Fahl moved to bump a sympathetic shoulder against the larger Gembound. His teacher might not care, but the student's own experiences with failure caused him to lend support where it wasn't needed. "Sometimes can't be helped. Magic's shit like that. Or the shit... y'know, when it works."

"Like, uh, shit," he offered, mind's current inflexibility preventing a more intelligent lead into his own attempt at a show of power. "Let me have a go."

Though addlebrained, enough sense persisted that Fahl did not push for something more advanced in his repertoire. Instead he settled for rearing back on his haunches and unleashing a blast of heat, head tipped back to avoid assaulting his friends, new and old. The air rippled, a sight that had once left him awestruck as a hatchling; whether it would have a similar effect on Parthenium he hadn't the faintest idea.

"A... moo-vie?" The syllables of the new word were drawn out, accompanied by a confused squint. "That some kind of fancy Palace thing? If you think it's good enough for us... sure, let's do it. How about you, Dog-face. Want to come with?"
