She nods, as Acheron thinks about the snow. "Well, it's not fluffy like this snow..." she adds, just to clarify, since it seems worth mentioning.

"Slidey thing... maybe. Or I could try to pick myself up, like Pride did. You think that would work?" she wonders back. "And maybe I have just missed them all. Fornax is very deep." Lorelei does hope she can meet more Gembound sometime...

Lorelei thinks a little, her two heads lifting up to stare off towards the ceiling. "Kinda... It felt like I was missing something fun! And you know how I love fun! So I came to see what it was. Wasn't the first time, either."

"Well," Acheron mused, "picking-yourself-up's kind of a magic thing. And as far as I know that only goes so far. I mean--not literally. Well, maybe literally, too? But you have to keep using it, and using it, and I guess it gets exhausting. At least with the slide you could just... slide downhill. But then again I don't know how you'd stop it," she added.

She thought about this, for awhile, trying to picture various angles and shapes that might help, but the deer-dog knew nothing of wheels or brakes or steering.

"...Maybe we could find someone to make you something," she settled on at last, unable to think of anything of her own.

She leaned back a little, thinking over the last thing Lorelei had said. "Not the first time you left Fornax, you mean?" she asked, curiously--an invitation, perhaps, to storytelling.

"Well, it was worth a shot. And it seemed like a decent idea, since Pride was able to carry me so far," she laments, flopping on her side in a dramatic show. She lets her tongues lull out of her mouths, playing dead for a moment.

She does perk back up pretty quick after Acheron continues. "Build something? Like that board thing you were talking about? But who would we ask?" Puzzling over it doesn't give Lorelei any more answers than the ones Acheron could come up with.

But then comes the question of Fornax. Or more accurately, not Fornax. "Yeah, a few cycles ago. I wandered out and into this spooky swamp! There was this guy, who called himself Doctor Fun! He's the one who gave me the other head!" she excitedly explains. A pause. "Well, I think it was him. I fell asleep while it was happening."

Acheron suddenly startled forward, leaning toward Lorelei with silver eyes saucer-wide and body rock-still.

She'd probably been just about ready to throw around ideas and questions about sleds, and building, and 'Doctor Fun' but something had snapped her excited attention up. "HOLD UP!" she barked, and her little tail was wagging. "There's a SPOOKY SWAMP!? And nobody told me? You have to tell me about it! You've gotta tell me everything! Yoooo, that sounds SO COOL!"

There was no telling where the hell Acheron had gotten "yo" from, let alone "yoooo," but it was here now and sounded almost like a hound's bray. Almost as an afterthought did she bark her short addition: "And did you say 'Doctor Fun?' That's the one you mentioned in Pisces, right?!"

Doctor Trick, or Fun--she couldn't remember what Lorelei had said, exactly, but somehow in the context of 'spooky swamp' it suddenly sounded a dozen times more interesting.

A spooky swamp, with a mysterious 'Doctor Fun' who gave people extra heads? Count her in! Not that she wanted extra heads, or anything. But she did kinda want to meet the guy.

Lorelei does pull away into something more blob shaped when Acheron lunges forward. She does ease up a little, as Acheron continues on, but it had initially caught her off-guard.

"Well, there's mud, and trees, and fog. I think it's called Keytus or something," she offers, her memories of it a little vague but there. "And the Doctor had a funny face. His eyes were large and round and he had something on his head, some sort of hat."

"Was it Pisces? I don't remember," she tacks on.

It took her a moment, looking distant, before the lightbulb seemed to go off above her head. "CETUS!" she cried, giving it a soft-c sound. "That's a spooky swamp?! Is it hard to get to? I want to go there! I've got to check that out," she added, excited.

"...Maybe not the doctor, actually. I'm good with one head. That that two doesn't seem cool," she hastened to add. "But can you imagine how much my antlers would get tangled up..? They're bad enough already." She spoke with amused but dour humor--they did tend to get caught up in tree branches and hanging vines a little too much for her liking. She didn't know how Pride did it--while he dipped around gracefully she tended to head-first slog straight into being a mess. "What brought you there, anyway-? To the spooky swamp--to Cetus, I mean? You just wandered there-?"

Lorelei's two heads bob in unison."Cetus. Cetus. Yeah, its so creepy, with trees sticking out of the water," she describes, leaning a little closer to Acheron. "It's next to Pisces, if I remember correctly."

Her three eyes look up at Acheron's antlers. They are pretty cool, but Acheron's concern does make sense. "I don't know what I'd do if I had antlers. They'd get stuck in plants while I swim..."

Thinking back to that day, she speaks up again, "I was curious what else was out there. And I felt like something cool was happening. I just was lucky enough to stumble across it!"

Acheron stared with clear admiration, tipping her body a little to rest more neatly on the snowy rock. "Dude... that's so cool. You just explored on a whim and found all that?! Caves, my dad was so..." Acheron winced, thinking. "Not-... overprotective, 'cause it turned out he was right, you know? But... sometimes I think having parents is really limiting compared to--I mean! Not that I wouldn't want to have him! I love my dad. But, everyone else I meet has seen so much!" she lamented.

A decision was made, then, and she eyed Lorelei with mischief. "...If I go check out Cetus, you wanna meet me there? -Can you get there by those, uhh--tunnels? You don't have to," she added. "But you've really made me want to see it. Hey-..." She paused, staring at the leopard seal's two heads.

A new thought had occurred to her. "...If you had antlers, and you did get tangled underwater, what would happen-? Would you drown?" It was softly-asked, with wide eyes and excited horror. It sounded terrible! In a horribly exciting sort of way. But was it even possible?! She couldn't remember, at the moment, if Lorelei could also breathe water or not--and the idea of being stuck down there, with no one else in the water to find you--that almost sounded worse than drowning.

Lorelei tilts her heads as Acheron talks. "Pride is nice, though. I would've liked to have someone I could always come to like him. It was lonely, sometimes." Sure Lorelei had seen a lot, but it didn't mean as much without someone to share it with, like she and Acheron were doing right now.

So of course, when Acheron suggests Lorelei show her one of the caves, she smiles. "I'd love to! There should be someway in there... it's deep and murky in some places."

She looks at Acheron funny. "...I don't... I can't breathe down there. I have to come up." Thinking about it made Lorelei feel icky, in the way thinking about death isn't ever fun. "Ugh, no antlers for me!"

Acheron felt bad. Lonely-? "...Yeah, I can picture that," she agreed. "And having to breathe sounds awful." It took her a moment to realize how what she'd just said sounded, and she blinked, rephrasing. "I mean--not that I don't have to breathe, all the time! But underwater, I mean. It sounds scary." She winced, almost a shudder.

"Well, you were tired, right? We can rest here, first," she reasoned, "if you want to. Or find something to eat-? I'm kinda full still but if you need. And then we can try to see Cetus!"

She was excited. New places were awesome, and truth be told, Acheron didn't get out nearly enough for her liking. Plus--exploring with a friend?! Hell yeah.
