Before Galleon had gone to visit the Collector and see what all the hubbub was about, she took a short detour. Galleon pulled herself to the arena. Her arms sunk into the cool sand, and Galleon's eyes shuttered as she relaxed. She had many memories here. Some good, some...her thoughts trailed off as a memory reared its ugly head. Galleon subconsciously cringed as she remembered being disemboweled.

That had not been fun. Galleon did not want to relive that at any point. But until that point, it had been exciting. Heart pumping. Fun. She found herself... missing it. Galleon began to bury herself into the sand. Chasing that feeling. The cool sand pressed down on her from all angles. She remembered how it had felt to rush through the dusty arena sand. Galleon's eyes snapped open, and she raised her sail. Air was pushed in, and Galleon flexed her tail for the sprint.

Galleons body pushed through the sand with ease. The grains rushed by, scraping smooth her scales. Had she lips, Galleons face would've been broken out in a grin. She loved swimming. The sand was where she felt truly comfortable, and her body sung with it. Her jets whistled in sync, melodious tunes privy only to her ears. She snapped her fin down as she broke into a dive, tail muscles burning as she forced herself to go faster. Then, she rose. She pushed herself, emptying her lungs of air as she prepared to breach.

With that last push, Galleon was out the sand. A massive spray followed the shark. Gravity's leash has been snapped, and she was flying. She chortled. It may have sounded undignified, but Galleon was the only one here. And she was full of glee. As her breach reached its peak, gravity regained its hold on her once more. What comes up must come down. As she realized gravity was seizing her once more, she tucked her fins in, preparing to take--and hopefully minimize--the shock.

Executed perfectly. The shock rippled through her, but she'd manage to land easily enough to block most of it out. Galleon rolled onto her belly. A deep sigh whistled out of her. That had brought back memories. And she stewed on them for a while. Galleon found herself craving that combat. Perhaps something more mutual this time, though.

Something for fun. Training, or practice. A spar, not a fight to the death. Yes, that was what the deathmatch had been missing. She flexed her fin. She had been shocked but relieved it had grown back. Galleon loathed to think how awkward she would've been without it in the sand. She intook air through it, feeling her chest expand. Relief. She though, then. Who could she face? She remembered Draconua and One. One had been interesting. She felt a twinge of guilt. It has been unlucky for them to end up assigned to fight her. She wondered now and then, as she did now, how the little mammal had been doing.

Draconua on the other hand had been an... interesting fight, too. Had she not been intent on murdering her, Galleon could've considered her a good target for a rematch. Perhaps the dragon's opinions were different now, though. The thought floated in her head, even as she dismissed her, at least for now, as an opponent. To assure herself of her capability to fight, should they meet again, Galleon swam to the walls. She bared her teeth, and struck out with them, attempting to simply bite a chunk out of the wall.

Her teeth dug into it. Mostly she simply scraped the wall. But she managed to crumble enough of it that a chunk of dark, bluish stone found itself in her jaws. That wasn't good enough. Galleon spat the chunk out. She had not been as impactful as she had imagined. Galleon suddenly was hit with how silly she must look. Here she was, taking bites out of walls. But at the very least no one could see her. Or the paltry damage she'd managed to inflict on it. Galleon sat there, glaring at the scoop of wall where her teeth had carved. An idea came to mind. Perhaps there was a better strategy for wall damage. Galleon pulled herself away from the wall. She dug herself into the sand once more, using her fins to settle herself. Now, she sped forward. She braced herself to ram into the wall.

Galleon's head impacted the wall. There was a deep thud as she hit. But no cracks in the wall. It didn't even seem damaged, save for the smattering of pebbles that pelted the ground. Galleons impact seemed to have hurt her more, her head scales giving a dull throb. That didn't go as planned. Galleon gave it a dubious look. She had taken a chunk out of it, yes, but it seems she had met her match. A literal wall. Galleon shook her head out.

Galleon found herself craving company. She was alone here. Good for practice, yes, but not much else. Galleon began to swim the circumference of the arena as she thought. She was used to being alone--she had just come from Hydra, after all. The only company she has there were sandworms and eyehooks. But now, so close to other gembound, she found herself craving their company.

Galleon paused as something hit her nose. She tilted her head to look down. A leftover popcorn box, striped red and white. Galleon has not seen one in a long time. But it still held a trace of its old scent. Curious, she stuffed it into her mouth, teeth biting down on the crumpled end. There was the barest hint of a buttery flavor. Like a LaCroix left in the sun. But mostly, it was cardboard. She spat it out, following it up with a fin flick to send it flying.

As it turns out, Galleon did not send it flying at all. Galleon didn't even hit it. But she did hit herself. Galleon's fin flicked forward, smacking her dead in the eye. Luckily for her, she had eye shields. But that didn't make it any less embarrassing. But it did hurt less. Galleon wheezed, dunking her head into the sand as if to hide herself from the empty arena. Her jets began to whistle air erratically while she hid her face. And when she breached again, it was with a breathy chuckle. How...dumb.

Galleon bit the popcorn box again, but this time she had learned her lesson. She swallowed it, despite it's taste. Galleon gave one last glance around the area. She had had enough memories. It was time to move on. Check out the Collector, and perhaps see what other thinking, talking things the caves had brought him. She swam from the arena, and when the sand could no longer support her, she heaved her form from it, paddling herself further into Orion.

;Exit Galleon
