As the deer's hooves strike the ice, there's a few moments where Ren has to restrain the feeling of laughter bubbling up in their chest. Ridiculous. Then, the deer coming their way, full speed in a panicked sprint, reminds them why they'd chosen this position.

Wings open towarda the ground and talons forward, the harpy lunges arms and claws first at the deer, hoping to get at least one set of limbs around it.

Their grip is loose, but enough for the harpy to bring the deer to bear under them and with a shove, they snap it's neck clean.

Feathers are sticking up everywhere, they may have dropped a few from the collision, and they're going to be very bruised tomorrow... but they chirp in delight from their perch atop the carcass.
