Star skip ran into Canis, eyes wide in excitement as she took in the new sights of the place. There was so much to see! Although Hydra had been an empty expanse of sand, here in Canis there were... bones. But being young and naive, she had no idea what bones really were so she thought they were just cool rocks.
"Connie! Look!" she ran up to a bone, giving it a few pecks. "White rock! Very cool!" it seemed she had regained her energy, and started bouncing around, kicking up bone fragments and pebbles. It was considerably easy to bounce here, rock being considerably harder than sand. But even so, she was still not as good at bouncing as the jerboa.

Connie sprang after Star, grinning and giggling with excitement. This new place looked a lot different from where they had been before. The ground didn't shift under their feet. In fact, it wasn't sand at all. Similar, though. Oddly shaped whitish stones littered the area, piling up in some places and leaving the floor bare in others. The strange terrain made for prime Hopping Grounds, however, which was what really interested Connie.

"Yes! White rock cool!" They agreed, sniffing a curved dusty 'rock' that they happened to stop nearby. "Here is cool! Good for bounce!" To demonstrate, he would run at a small [but comparatively big] mound of bones, aiming to climb atop and then do a Cool Jump off the side. The bone pile wasn't particularly stable, and Connie's presence sent it tumbling into a heap, Connie caught among it. "AUGH!!" They shouted, struggling to pull themselves out of the heap. "...Maybe not good for bounce.." They mumbled.

Star was bounce bounce bouncing around, and watched with excitement as Connie attempted to run up a mound of the 'white rocks'. She had much to learn about bouncing and doing cool stuff from her friend! But what happened instead was a complete collapse of the bone pile, catching them inside. "CONNIE OKAY!?" Star bounced at top speed over to where they were stuck, and attempted to pull them out.

But her tugs were of no use, and instead a bone clattered from the top of the pile and bonked her on the head. "HERK!" was the noise she emitted, and shook her head to clear it of the headache that was forming. "NO WORRY! STAR HELP!" she continued to frantically peck around to try and help free her friend, but it seemed that it was simply not working.

It was hard to tell was was going on around him, considering he was stuck in a pile of bones. He heard the muffled sounds of Star 'helping,' and a distinctively not-good sounding noise. "Star okay?" He yelped, wiggling from within the bone pile. "Don't hurt while help! I okay!" He would thrash and wiggle around more aggressively, newly motivated to free himself from the pile before it attacked Star again.

This resulted in no real progress, aside from the loosening of bones that skittered down the sides of the pile, potentially hazardous to Star. "I got it! Wait!" Connie squeaked, despite having absolutely no idea what he was doing.
