Agatha had left a long, broad divot in the dirt behind her. It was a trail--easy to follow--scraped down to rock, the fault of an enormously hefty body and very little energy for trekking miles at a time. Why had she thought an adventure would be a grand idea-? She'd gotten bored, in Cetus; her lifestyle, lying silent like an alligator or a turtle in the mud and idly eating whatever wound up too close to her jaws, was without much variety.

So she'd thought that a journey would be fun. Now, she was grumbling as she hauled herself along, her pace a very slow trudge, the occasional swearword tumbling halfheartedly from her jaws. Her voice carried, though she didn't intended it to; it was just her size, her muttered "Damn this all" a hoarse rasp that echoed down the tunnel.

At length she huffed and flopped, her legs sprawling and sliding out to either side, her jaw settling on the floor to rest. Her eyes half-closed, and she yawned, a massive gape of pointed beak.

This was exhausting.

Conleth was doing as he usually did- exploring without any real plan or motivation.

For some time now, he had been following this massive trail scooped out of the dirt. Like a river that had suddenly run dry, or the 'footprint' of a massive snake. Connie wasn't sure what it ACTUALLY was, though, except that it was fun to jump off the sides of it. He was essentially using it to perform cool skater tricks, minus the skateboard.

As he followed the miniature ravine, however, it's source became more apparent. The shuffling-stomping of massive limbs, the muttering of words he didn't recognize followed by a reverbating 'Damn this all.'

A smarter someone probably would've turned back, but Conleth was both friendly and an idiot, and did not once pause to think about how easily this stranger could pulverize him.

"Hey! Hello!" He called, bouncing around Agatha's side until he finally found her head. "You're HUGE! You even made the dirt move!" Two smiles shone at the snapping-dragon- Connie's actual mouth, and the jagged gemstone 'smile' cut diagonally across his face. "Wanna be friends? 'm Conleth, but you can call me Connie if ya want."

Immense head lifted, turned, with almost comical slowness as the bristling turtle-beast turned to seek this new arrival. Orange eyes blinked languidly as Conleth was spotted.

For a moment, Agatha did not speak. It wasn't rudeness, or even awkwardness, she just... couldn't fathom, for a moment, that a speaking voice could be coming from a creature so tiny. She'd never met anyone so small! There was no temptation to eat him; she was not that sort of Gembound. Instead she grunted and curled the corners of her jaws in a grin, gradually shuffling (in a sludging of thick mud) to turn and face the arrival.

"And you are very small!" she cried hoarsely, with something like appreciation in her tone. It was certainly unique, that tininess! She settled in, huffing, sprawling back out now that she was facing him. "I am Agatha!" He was quite close, and she found that endearing. He was rather a charming little thing, she thought. "Friends-?"

...Huh. Why not? It seemed odd to commit to friendship immediately, without knowing someone, but... "Maybe?" she rasped, then laughed. "We can be friends on... a trial basis. Tell me about yourself, Connie. What are you doing here? Are you alone?" she added, with a glance around. From someone more sinister it might've been a question with darker intent, but Agatha felt concern. Even a cave rat could eat him, and was she so worried about a stranger already-?
