Wilder purred softly at the pup's joy, watching him place the chain around his neck. "It looks good on you." She eyed the imperfections in the chain, but it wasn't a big deal - he certainly either hadn't noticed or hadn't cared, so she didn't point them out.

"You certainly can, if you work with your magic enough. You magic is light, correct?" She glanced at the bauble now hanging from his neck. "What I just did is magic of earth. Different element, harder to master unless you are naturally of that element. As it was for me. I'm not light or earth, but I learned them both all the same." She reached out a paw, even as he zoomed excitedly around him, and spread that light-bringing magic down, a soft pink glow emanating from the fur of her leg. "Start with basics, and grow from there." She raised it so he could see, a smile curling the corners of her eyes.

She set her paw back down after a moment, letting the magic dissipate. She glanced from him to the stone, and tilted her head. She wondered if there was...more she could do. "Hmm...would you actually set the stone down again? I maybe be able to do something else for you, if you would like it to help, truly help." She began to go through a list in her mind of everything she could do, and how it could potentially help him. In the corner of her mind, madness sparked, hungry, waiting to be sated. In her eyes, gold sparkles flickered.

"I think that's right! I made the stone glow and I just had to take it with me."

Zephiran tilted his head against the ground, a raise of his eyebrow as he spoke. A curiosity made him roll onto his stomach. Cyan eyes watched the feline. Even as the feline judged the imperfections, it did not become obvious to him. Or frankly, he was far too excited for the gift to care. Zephiran was grateful.

"Oh? I can learn something other than my element?"

His question rose, a gentle move of his paw to reach for his necklace. The chain rather, cautiously moving it to set it on the stones before them. The dim lit barren stone in the middle. Surrounded by the smokey quartz.

"There ya go! I'll have to learn how to do that! I could make smthn for you later in exchange!"

A curl of his tail, a happy wag. Gentle thuds against the ground. Patiently he would wait, but bright eyes rested upon the feline. Curious to what else they could do with it.

Wilder nodded again, glancing from Zephiran and back to the chain he was setting on the ground again. "You can, it is not as easy, but it is possible. And with the right practice, their strength will be indistinguishable from your native spells." Case in point, the chain she'd made, which she pulled forward now, pressing her paws into the quartz.

She had never tried this before, but she knew what it was, how to do it. She focused her magic and pressed it forward, but maybe she didn't do it right - a visible spark of her power shot out from her paws against the chain and she jerked back with a small yelp. "Ah, and sometimes, you should be careful," she hissed, rubbing her paws where they had been slightly burned by the rebounded spell. "Magic does not always cooperate with you.

There was a moment of silence as she waited for her paws to get the feeling back in them, and then she touched the chain again. Feeling Zephiran's gaze on her, she closed her eyes and focused, harder this time. Really put the effort into making this spell work.

And it did. The rush of magic that pressed into the chain links was different from anything she'd cast before, but it gave vague memories of the times she'd given life, but different. As the magic pressed into and spread through the chains, the faintest glow emanated from them, colorless, waiting.

She turned to Zephiran. "I can put some kind of effect on these, if you'd like. I am limited, but less limited then most. Tell me what you'd want - it can be cosmetic, or can take a bit of damage for you, or heal a bit of damage, if you are hurt."

Zephiran watched with willing cyan eyes. Every time Wilder would try, his ears perked up. His tail wagging happily. Every bit of information they gave, he took. Magic didn't always work for them.

"If I had it heal, could it heal another I put it on to wear?"

Zephiran's mind went to Daphne. He didn't know too much about her, but maybe in certain cases she could wear it too. Even though he kinda wanted to keep wearing it himself.

"I definitely wanna try! I wanna learn how to do that!"

Wilder nodded as her paws gripped the chain before her. "Yes, it should work for whoever is wearing it." She closed her eyes and focused, pressing that healing magic she had come to know forward, but before it could properly catch onto the quartz, the enchanting failed and faded away, leaving the stone nonmagical - still glowing, but unenchanted.

Wilder hissed and cursed under her breath. Of course it didn't work. She glanced at Zephiran briefly, ears pointed back. "Sorry, uh, let me try again. This magic is a little fickle."

Wilder held the chain again in her paws and started the process over. Like pressing leverage through a crack to widen it, her magic tried to wheedle into the quartz crystals, but the snap-back this time with her impatience to not fail in front of the kid again, was far more severe then it had been a moment ago. It didn't come with a bit of numbness in her paws, but rather seemed to reach back, towards that switch in her mind that turned on and off the madness, that she never touched herself but seemed to activate on its own.

Gold and pink swirled in her vision as it began to seep into her consciousness, knowing that she could help here - she could help protect this kid and potentially another that he was close to, and she had to do this now. Or else she would be giving it up.

Zephiran would see Wilder go from fairly composed to hunching over the necklace, ears flattened against her head, a faint trembled in her shoulders as she desperately tried to make it work.

Desperation spurred on my Hume's madness made her clutch tighter at the quartz, as if that would give her any more strength of magic to make the enchantment work. Her head spun from the rebounded spell and the cosmic burden on her mental state. Still, through all of it, she was spurred on to finally get the wedge that was her spell into the essence of the chain and, once again, a colorless glow emanated from it as it awaited the input.

She didn't hesitate this time, with intentions at the forefront of her mind and the drive of madness edging her forward. Magicka crackled around her paws, her eyes glittered in clouds of pink and gold, the edge of her figure seemed to blur, glitching, shifting in place ever-so-slightly from the strength of the magic she was pressing into the object.

From where her paws touched the crystal chain, water seemed to suddenly surge, a stream wreathing from her body over the chains, threading through them and then soaking into the quartz and disappearing. The colorless glow turned faintly blue for a moment, and then settled. It looked...similar to how it had looked before, simple smoky quartz chain around a glowing stone, but as Wilder picked it up from the ground and held it in her claws, she felt the cool touch of the water magic, but not unpleasantly cold. Like a soothing balm after touching heat.

She turned, the tension that had gripped her body moments before all gone now, as she handed the enchanted item back to Zephiran. "There. Sorry that it took a bit I've...never done that before." She was breathing a little heavy, weariness already settling into her bones. "I hope it works for you - I've enchanted it with a spell that should give you a bit of healing if you're hurt."

He watched in silence. Or rather, interest. Cyan eyes watched how the feline failed over and over again.

"It worked!"

Bright eyes gazed at the necklace. The smoky quartz chained around his barren rock he made glow. Light powers the feline called it. Now he was determined to try and master what they did. To create something from merely nothing.

As soon as the feline gave it back to him, he put his paw over the necklace. Resting his eyes, trying to call for something. But nothing happened! The wolf pup reopened his eyes with a huff. Maybe it couldn't be. Or rather maybe he'd try to add something to it that's glowing! That's it!

"I wonder how long till I might be able to do that! That's cool too!"
