A dark golden chrysalis cracks open a small dark creature slipping out of the egg like shape, all black with white stripes down his form. He was a tiger, but his appearance was much different than a usual tiger, his body shrouded in darkness rather than the bright orange of his species.

He made no sound, his eyes narrowing as he stalked out, taking a moment to look around, searching for information on what was going on and where he was. Unknowingly, he attempted to activate muffle as he focused on his footsteps, initially just trying to be careful as to not step in something bad.

Slowly he lifted his head and sniffed around, curious but cautious, his eyes narrowed and his face neutral.

The young Rajani was not the only one there in the silence. Perhaps he would smell the other first before seeing Izote, lazing about. Gnawing on a bone, the inostrancevia is oblivious to the company.

And while he definitely might cut a fearsome visage, he's no threat. And there's other scraps of bone and meat around him. If anything, he might be inclined to share.

He stalked around in the silence for a few moments before eyes fell upon another not too far away, seemly content with the bone in his grip. For a moment, the young tiger hesitated, still unsure and new to the lands, but uncertainty wasn't something he could afford right now, not when he didn't know what all was going on around him.

So, slowly he would slip out of the shadows, announcing himself with a soft chuff, not wanting to startle the other creature. One step closer, but that was it, giving ample space between in case the other creature showed any hostility.

His head would turn at the chuff, bone still in his jaws. One of Izote's golden eyes searched for the source of the noise, before finally resting on Rajani. It takes a moment, since his dark pelt and silver stripes blend into Orion's dim lighting.

Dropping the bone, he'd open is mouth to speak. "Hey." His voice is deep and level. He's also completely unbothered by the company. "You got a name, little guy?"

He paused for a moment, taking in the scene in front of him, ocean blue gaze flicking from the creature before to the bones he gnawed on, before turning back to the creature once more. Only then would he finally speak, his voice low but calm, a Russian accent clear in his tone, his common language a bit broken. "Rajani." He raised an eyebrow curiously, clearly like he was expecting something in return. "Who you?" He finally asked, walking a few more steps out to sit in more of the light but still far enough to keep distance between them.

He waits expectantly for Rajani to speak, eyes gleaming with interest. They contrast with his otherwise indifferent body language.

Well, Izote would be lying if he wasn't a bit curious of the others who roamed the caves. Keeping to himself didn't exactly answer any questions.

His lips peel back into a slight smile as he answers, "Call me Izote." He also shifts a bit where he sits, turning himself a bit more so he doesn't have to twist his neck as far. "Something up?"

He raised an eyebrow for a moment, seeming to think before nodding slightly. The man in front of him didn't seem to have any issues with him being here, at least not at this moment, so he figured he would push his luck until he wasn't able to anymore. Izote. He said simply, repeating the creature's name for a moment, committing it to memory before turning his attention to the next question.

Shaking his head for a moment, he shrugged slightly, mostly to himself, before answering. Exploring. What is this place? He cocked his head to the side curiously, flicking his tail behind himself. His eyes flicked down to the bones around the creature, silently realizing he was rather hungry but now wasn't the time.

His eyes follow Rajani's down to his pile of bones and scraps. It'd take him a moment to put two and two together, but after a moment he'd grab one in his jaws and toss it so it'd land at the tiger's feet. Little guy seems a bit too small to hunt much...

"This place? Think it's... Orion or something. Room of lights," he'd explain, tilting his head up towards the glittering ceiling. "Though there's more to the caves than just here."

He raised an eyebrow at the man threw him a bone, a look of amusement and curiosity painting his features. Not many would give up food to strangers so easily, he wouldn't have, so why did this creature?

He hummed softly to himself in thought as he lowered his head to gnaw at the bone, pulling off the small pieces of meat and gristle still attached. It wasn't much, but it was enough for now, and he could chew on the bone later.

Turning his attention back to the creature, he nodded for a moment, flicking his tail behind him, a show of his tense nature even as his body remained relaxed. This place seem large, lots of caves. It was a statement more than a question, something he had already noticed as he had wandered. How long have you been here? He asked simply, cocking his head to the side. He wanted to know just how experienced this man in front of him was.

He'd return Rajani's confused look with a grin. "I've had my fill already, no reason to let it go to waste," Izote would explain. "Besides, you look like you could use it."

He knows he would've liked a snack offered to him when he'd first hatched.

Rajani speaks again, and he listens. "Yeah, it is. You'll learn them in time. I haven't seen all of them, myself, even." Though the next question makes him pause. "How long? Well... Eleven cycles or so - do you know how long a cycle is? For me... just kinda knew after a while." It's difficult, to explain the concept of time, when the only marker was whatever internal clock a Gembound had.
