Wilder nodded to Zephiran and settled herself down again. "I'll see you soon," she murmured as her parting words. She didn't want to say "goodbye" - too many times she'd said it and it had been the last word she'd said to them. Oh she was quite tired of the cycle of meeting gembound and losing them, meeting new ones and losing them again. Why can't we just meet again? She watched Zephiran leave, hoping, at least, she'd see him again once or twice.

She settled down, once he'd left, and pulled the tarot cards back close to her, returning to her musings over their meanings, letting her mind settle down to somewhere calm and lucid.
