The cellar itself was empty.

The next little hidden corridor, however, held something of minor interest: an ancient, smithed piece of metal armor. It looked to have been a helmet for some large, quadrupedal creature; it was large enough to fit an adult wolf, and was a discolored brass in hue. But it was damaged, severely, by time. The buckles and leather had long-since rotted away. Much of the metal itself had been eaten by rust, so that what was left nearly crumbled at the touch. A good smith could perhaps reforge or recreate it, but it was nothing particularly special to begin with; the question was why a piece of armor would be hidden away in a series of cellars and secret halls.

There was another click. A final one. Another door rumbled, until the mechanism broke down. Opening another smaller tunnel into a smaller cellar. With something that sparkled in the end. Something he wasn't sure what was.

The dark pup peered into the tunnel. This one wasn't long at all. A swift flicker of his tail, he waited until the other was at his side before continuing. This place was weirdly strange.

"Look at this!" Belvadair led the way to the old piece of metal on a stand. Hidden away in the cellars. Why?

Something worn down with time. Much of it couldn't be usable. Even a brief touch might have crumbled the armor. Looked as if it could wrap around one's head. But he dared not touch the rotten leather or metal.

That was quick. Finding the hidden button along the wall. Zephiran leaped down and brought himself to the dark pups side. A smile etched into his face. They both pawed their way down the tunnel.

That's when he finally noticed it. A small large helmet. Something ancient. Old and withered with time. The silvered pup swept himself around the stand, curiosity embezzled in his face.

"Oh, why would this be like this? Down so far?" Zephiran mumbled, eyes gazed towards Belvadair. He didn't dare touch it. But every fiber of him wanted to see if that power would tell him anything about it. "Oh, I wonder what the Blacksmith would say.."

As far as Zephiran could tell, there wasn't a reason for anything else to be hidden… right?

"Someone probably didn't want someone else to find it? Maybe?" Belvadair was just spitting ideas. But there wasn't any reason he could think of why. At least not now. It was so crazy to see.. something hidden. But it didn’t even look good to keep. There was little to no use for something that would break upon touching.

"Maybe we should keep this hidden for now.. Ya know until we can figure out what it is." Why else would he take it, risk losing it if it meant that it would disappear? A shake came from Belvadair's head. Gosh. Once he found the blacksmith he'd ask more. It's so boring to know so little about this world.

"Come, I wanna see if we can move that stone on the entrance any further." That is where Belvadair would pick up his paws, turning around. He hadn't quite memorized the layout of the cellar yet. But he was ready to pry himself from the darkness.

Soon after Zephiran would follow, prance after him.
