The horror of thinking that the chromite would called her "Overtier Sextus" in front of now only her other underlings but her superiors, such as Vargas or Aethril, almost made her heart stop momentarily. But...again...child. She had to be patient. "Okay, why don't we practice on the way?" She was sure that on the journey to Orion, maybe she could get the little guy to properly pronounce her name.

She nodded. "Yes, others. We go - follow me." And with that, she began to journey from the tunnel to tower in Orion, where she'd set herself up for the time being, where three other fresh-hatches were waiting for her to return.

On the way! It was getting hungry, but it was also certain that Overseer Momtus/Texas/whatever would find it food en route. And--practice!

The child danced about as its adoptive mother walked in a more stately manner. Scythes carved haphazardly at the air. Now and then, Chromite tumbled onto its butt, its legs spun too far for a child's balance to compensate for. It darted ahead, sniffed off to sides, and--eventually--began to fall behind, as children on long journeys tended to do.

But it did follow. Followed, off toward a new future.
